Summer,nice hot days and plenty of daylight.
Autumn - with that beautiful foliage in the trees....
Autumn, slight chill in the morning air, bright skies and glorious colours on the hills, magic.
Crisp spring morning
Summer on nights with a full moon - something very special about the peace and solitude out in the country with only the stars and moon for company or riding with the masses out to the coast on the Dun Run.
It has to be Spring. Winter is too dark, Autumn too wet and windy and Summer [for the few day that we get one] is too hot!

Late spring and early autumn for me - not too hot, not too cold

Early January, on a clear day with the winter sun
Spring: going for that first big ride in shorts & sleeveless top.
Late spring/early summer- those first short sleeved rides with lovely blue skies...cycling joy even through London B)
The late, late winter (early spring ? ;)) just as the temperature picks up and the mornings are brighter, earlier.
Knowing that every coming day means its one day nearer to riding in warm air and that those warming layers can be cast off!

An English autumn is a great time to cycle as the weather is cool & the sights on country lanes look fantastic.
Bright and early on a summer morning for me
Winter morning in the Peak District, climbing out of the mist in the valley up into the hills where the sun is shining and thinking you are overdressed. Looking back down into the valley and knowing that you are perfectly dressed for the descent to come.
