It's that time again when summer is over, the nights are getting shorter and we all need a bit of a boost to get out and keep riding... well for some very lucky readers hopefully this fantastic competition from The Rider Firm will help, with the chance for road.cc readers to win one of three HUNT prizes worth a total of £1,373!
The first prize is a pair of HUNT 50 Carbon Aero Disc wheels worth £879 and a HUNT casual tee worth £20. The second prize is a pair of their MASON x HUNT 4 Season Disc wheels worth £379 and a HUNT casual T-shirt worth £20. The third prize is a HUNT Race Season padded double wheel bag worth £45, two HUNT 600ML water bottles worth £10 each and yes, you guessed it, a HUNT casual T-Shirt worth £20!
So without further ado, let's take a look at each of these prizes...
The first place prize is a set of HUNT 50 Carbon Aero Disc wheels, as ridden by team Qhubeka-NextHash most recently at the Tour of Britain and the Vuelta a Espana. We haven't had the chance to test these yet, so we'll leave it to Hunt to tell you about them:
"Introducing the 50 Carbon Aero Disc, a HUNT best-seller and rider favourite, proven at the highest level of the sport. We’re proud to offer you the exact wheelset raced to victory on Stage 11 of the 2021 Giro d’Italia by Mauro Schmid of Team Qhubeka-NextHash.
"The super-wide 27mm rim provides superior aerodynamic performance. The U-profile serves up great handling and reduces drag across multiple wind yaw-angles. The wider 19mm internal rim bed opens out your tyre profile providing exceptional vibration reduction, grip, and low rolling-resistance.
!The straight pull hubs and bladed spokes reduce weight, add strength and respond instantly to your accelerations. The freehub body on the HUNT Sprint hub features 48 teeth on the ratchet ring, and treble-tooth pawls, providing incredible 7.5° engagement. Perfect for when the hammer goes down and you need an instant response.”
Full spec of these wheels can be found on HUNT’s site here.
And don’t forget, you also get a smart HUNT Casual T-shirt for chilling off the bike!
The second prize is a set of the fantastic MASON x HUNT 4 Season Disc Wheels and a Hunt Casual T-shirt. We have tested these wheels back in 2020 and really liked them, with Mike awarding a prestigious 9/10 score.
Here are a couple of his comments:
“All in all, for £329 [the 2020 RRP] I just can't fault version two of the 4 Season Discs – on price, weight, setup, performance, axle compatibility or included accessories…..
"...Assuming no mishaps, and with all parts readily available, these will be the last wheels you'll need to buy for general road and gravel/byway riding for quite some time.”
Quite some praise indeed! You can read his review in full here.
The MASON x HUNT 4 Season Disc Wheels have lightweight tubeless-ready asymmetric rims for durability, are 26mm deep with a 19mm internal width suitable for tyres from 23mm all the way to 45mm. The hubs are HUNT 4Season J-bend spoke hubs with centre-lock and are compatible with all 8-12Spd freehubs. Axles are easy to change and fit: Front - QR, Bolt thru 12/15/9mm, Rear - QR, Bolt thru 12x142, 12x135, 10x135.
Full spec of these wheels can be found on HUNT’s site here.
Finally, all is not lost if you don't win either of the first two prizes... we have our third-place prize of a HUNT Race Season Padded Double Bicycle Wheel Bag with shoulder strap and outer protective 600 denier casing, designed to keep your wheels in pristine condition when stored or travelling!
Plus you’ll get two HUNT 600ml water bottles, and of course the stylish HUNT tee.

Well, yeah. I can imagine that linking your product in any way to the Cybertruck, the most ridiculed product in recent history, isn't a PR victory,...
Thank goodness for that. I don't suppose anyone would want you to. You certainly behave like one though.
You do see some utterly ridiculous examples of car use....
Exactly. Every road death is a tragedy but this is at the "twat deserved it" end of the spectrum, looking at the state of that car.
I'm not the editor of this article, nor indeed of anything on this website. One would have thought that didn't require explaining.
I think the answer is in your question. I genuinely didn't know he was married to her. It does kinda explain it. Disappointing, nevertheless.
What do we want?...
In a perfect world, we'd have a measure of how easily distracted someone is, as part of their driving test....
These products are nothing but ridiculously expensive and superfluous, and they bring nothing but bragging rights....
Of course they are, and not so different. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09B662CDN?crid=34M42BETAMFT0&th=1 The bugger's got four versions up now!
