This is a jacket for those days when the rain finally stops (trust us, that IS going to happen, honest) but you still need to keep warm.
And keep you warm it does, thanks to its layer of insulation. The warmest conditions I have used it have been just into double digits and that proved to be an almost uncomfortable experience. The jacket is too thick for all but the chilliest of rides.
The cuffs have an additional lining that is not only tight fitting to prevent drafts but extends from the end of the sleeve to give a better fit. To emphasize the jacket's unique approach, attached on the inside of the collar is removable snood, perfect for those cold rides. The snood comes in a contrasting blue colour and is attached by three buttons so yo can remove it if you like.
If you find yourself overheating there are zips under each arm that will allow a little extra breeze to circulate.
There are four pockets on the rear. One is a zipped, water repellent pocket that will accommodate your phone. Included in the rear left pocket is a pump sleeve, again a nice touch. To complete the pocket line-up there is a zipped chest pocket.
To cover off the safety element, there are reflective patches on the shoulders and back. The back panel is complemented by a slightly thicker patch that runs down the centre and aids comfort if you use a rucksack.
The grip on the bottom ensures the B'Twin not only looks good but stays in place when you're riding. This jacket is ideal for cold riding and for the price offers a decent investment.
Warm, relatively light and well made jacket with a few innovative features - all for a decent price.

Rate the product for quality of construction:

The quality is good with the zips all working well and easily. There is plenty of storage room in terms of pockets, including a zipped water resistant offering and another zipped pocket on the chest. A neat feature is the sleeve for a pump hidden in one of the rear three pockets.

If you use this jacket in colder conditions you will not be disappointed by its performance. Despite the zipped vents under the arms you may struggle to get enough breeze if the weather warmed up.
