Arm warmers have always been a tricky one for me, as I have very skinny arms - even for a cyclist. Consequently I often end up with two fabric tubes sagging down my arms 10 minutes into a ride, and as a result almost always pick a long sleeved jersey over arm warmers.
As a result I went into testing the Sugoi RS arm warmers with a somewhat biased opinion. And I can say I was pleasantly surprised. These are the only arm warmers that have ever really stayed up my pipe cleaner arms. There are good grippers at the top - both on the inside for my skin, and on the outside to grab onto the inside of my jersey. The tops also extend far enough up my arms to avoid the dreaded gap between sleeve and arm warmer.
The fleecy internal fabric keeps arms plenty warm on colder mornings and they are understated enough to match up with any jersey you might own.
The medium I tested fit me spot on, both in length and for tightness - I'm a shade over 6 foot and 70kg. Having said that, don't go on my sizing alone, it's well worth a try on if you can. The darkest depths of my kit drawer are awash with arm warmers that just never quite fit properly, and have never seen the light of day.
The Sugoi RS arm warmers are nicely fitted and comfortable; they'll keep your arms warm on chilly starts.
Nicely fitted & comfortable arm warmers.
