A super-strong stub stops your bottle slipping out the bottom and an equally tough lip at the top prevents it jumping out. I tried with all the power in my thumbs to push each of them out of place – I can get quite destructive in the name of testing, me – but they stayed completely solid, so holding a 500ml or 750ml bottle in place is no problem.
The circumference of the two-part arms that wrap around the sides is slightly smaller than that of a standard water bottle so when you sling your bottle in there's enough tension to hold it firmly in place. I've known other bottle cages that grab hold of your water bottle harder but this Spin one did the job well on even bumpy, potholed roads without any annoying rattles or buzz. I'd probably want something with a tighter grip for hitting the Roubaix cobbles but you'll have no worries on the road.
Apart from that, there's not much to tell. It looks pretty cool and those red arms have stayed shiny through several months of use.

Spin say:
"The Spin QuickLight Carbonic Bottle Cage - antique red finish & still only 25 grams
Light Fast & Beautiful bottle cage in authentic Spindustrial Carbon
Antique Red graphics and Spin Super Sex deep gloss coating will wow the ladies and dazzle the competition
Whether you've been pounding Belgian pave or even the A425, you'll have worked up an almighty thirst. But chances are that by the time you notice, you've already lost your bottle.
Well the QuickLight Bidon Carrier is the solution. It holds on when lesser bottle cages have lost their, er, bottle.
It's deep wrap-around arms are pre-tensioned to just the right degree to hold on tight. But the fiendishly clever, topologically shaped curves make entry and exit a doddle whether you're in the heat of battle or just enjoying a sunny summer's day ride with your mates.
Light: 25 grams (not including fixing bolts or bottles of beer)
Fast: bottle entry and exit thanks to topologically shaped arms
Beautiful: Spin Super Sex deep wet gloss coated
Fits: all frames with standard M5 threaded bottle bosses"
Our test model weighed 28g. Since they bring up Belgian pavé, I'd probably go for something with a firmer grip over the cobbles... but no problems at all for normal road use.
