It is made from quite a stretchy polyester that's light and breathable, which RH+ call Firedry Gold 100 fabric. Although it's not cut quite as close as their PW Revo Jersey FZ, it's very much a slim, athletic fit. There's not a whole lot of spare material here.
The Vertigo isn't quite as cool as the Revo, partly because there are no mesh sections, but it'll still keep you comfortable on summer rides and it deals with sweat very well. It can become a little clingy if you really sweat loads, but so can anything else, and it dries out fast.
When the sun and terrain make you really hot, you can open the full-length front zip right up to let the air in. There's a little tab behind the top of the zip to stop it scratching on your neck.
You get the usual three pockets in the lower back, an elasticated band running across the tops adding to the security. You get a similar – though wider – band to hold the waist in. There aren't too many other features here, just some reflective details on the back to help get you seen at night.
The Vertigo doesn't perform as impressively as the Revo in really hot conditions but it is much, much cheaper and represents better value for money. Plus, in typical UK summer conditions when it doesn't get extremely hot, you'll probably get more use out of the Vertigo.
Lightweight, slim fitting jersey suitable for most UK summer conditions.

Size tested: Black/white, large
Tell us what the product is for, and who it's aimed at. What do the manufacturers say about it? How does that compare to your own feelings about it?
It's a sporty jersey in a slim cut - although not as slim as RH+'s Revo jersey which we've also tested.
RH+ list these features:
"Pre-formed anatomic construction
Waist gripper with visible microfiber elastic at sight height 5cm
Two way front zipper with self-locking customised tab.
Thermoformed microfibre front zip garage
Reflective appliqués
3 rear pockets"
That's all correct apart from the two way zipper thing. It isn't two way.

It's a very high standard of construction. I'd prefer flat seams on something that can be worn right next to your skin.

Tell us how the product performed overall when used for its designed purpose
It works really well for most UK summer conditions. You might want a little more venting for really hot days, but you can always open the zip right up.
