Eighty-seven bikes that belonged to actor and comedian Robin Williams are currently being auctioned online in aid of charity.
The famously cycle-mad Williams – star of the Mork & Mindy TV series and numerous major movies including Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting and Mrs Doubtfire – died in 2014 having amassed a huge collection of bikes.
As well as being extensive, the range on offer at online auction house Paddle8 is eclectic, to say the least.
The most expensive starting bids – US$10,000 – are reserved for a Discovery Channel Limited Edition Trek Madone (above) and a Colnago Master Pista (below).
The carbon-fibre Madone, a replica of one ridden by Lance Armstrong in the Tour de France, has a head badge that’s “embellished with diamonds”.
The Colnago is also a limited edition with a custom polka dot paint job, a collaboration between Toronto-based bike shop La Carrera and graffiti artist Futura 2000.
Unusual items in the collection include a Zipp 2001 (above, built without a seat tube or seatstays), one of many time trial/triathlon bikes on offer...
...a Schwinn Chopper Hog Roadster (above) with a current high bid (at the time of writing) of US$1,300...
...and a Schwinn Apple Picker Krate Stingray child’s bike (above) that currently stands at US$2,400.
Other surprising inclusions are a PiCycle electric bike (above) and a Z Turbo electric scooter (below).
“Beloved actor and comedian Robin Williams was an ardent cyclist and fierce advocate for people with disabilities,” says Paddle8.
“This auction honours his passions. Bid on a selection of favourites from Williams's personal bicycle collection, donated by his children, in support of the Challenged Athletes Foundation and Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.”
Auctions end on all bikes at 6pm BST on Tuesday, October 25.

I'd love to own any one of those bikes, or any of the others he had in his collection. He is/was one of my favourite comedians/actors and having been touched by mental illness in my own family, the charity connection makes it even more attractive as a way to get into debt.
I very nearly bought a bike in the auction of the estate of a certain former DJ/kids TV presenter and by God am I glad I didn't!
That is luxury - space for 87 bikes
n+1 or what?!
Cervélo had better buy that Zipp 2001 before people realise their P5X triathlon bike is just the same thing (even more similar than the Trek Y-foil) with disc brakes and an electronic groupset (innovation!) plus a few cubby-holes for gels.
I reckon there's some bargains in there, however god knows why anyone would pay over the odds for a pashley guv'nor. I doubt RW rode that more than once.
With a stem raised so high they'd almost be sitting upright?
