Campagnolo release new performance clothing range

The Italian component maestros have branched out further into apparel, offering an extensive line of "performance technical wear"

Campagnolo has released a brand new range of clothing, with the first wave of products including jerseys, bibs and skinsuits as part of the Spring/Summer '18 collection. They're the second of the big three component manufacturers to release a fresh clothing line this year, with Shimano's S-Phyre performance gear, as used by Team LottoNL-Jumbo, being revealed back in January.

As we'd expect the Campag kit is all Italian-made, with materials carefully selected to maximise aerodynamic advantage and provide freedom of movement by using highly flexible fabrics. Triple-thread seams, advanced construction methods and anti-abrasion fabrics will ensure the kit is built to last and "wears in not wears out", say Campagnolo.

The Titanio jersey is €139

It also looks pretty cool too, with various colour schemes across the men's and women's kit plus the Campag crest and written logo appearing on all products. Jerseys start from €99.90 for the Iridio jersey, going up to €159 for the C-Tech. You can also splash out €249 on the C-Tech body skinsuit if you're partial to time trialling. The women's range is less extensive, with a choice of three jerseys, bib shorts and a casual polo.

The range is being sold directly via Campagnolo's web shop, and shipping is free if you spend over €150. Check it all out here.

Arriving at road.cc in 2017 via 220 Triathlon Magazine, Jack dipped his toe in most jobs on the site and over at eBikeTips before being named the new editor of road.cc in 2020, much to his surprise. His cycling life began during his students days, when he cobbled together a few hundred quid off the back of a hard winter selling hats (long story) and bought his first road bike - a Trek 1.1 that was quickly relegated to winter steed, before it was sadly pinched a few years later. Creatively replacing it with a Trek 1.2, Jack mostly rides this bike around local cycle paths nowadays, but when he wants to get the racer out and be competitive his preferred events are time trials, sportives, triathlons and pogo sticking - the latter being another long story.

maybe Campag are using a material and design that provides a aerodynamic advantage - nipples aren't exactly aero are they.
