We just about managed to find some time to go out for a quick ride in between eggs over the Easter break, and with spring kit coming in thick and fast we're hoping for some better weather over the next couple of weeks! Here are some highlights of our current hoard of gear on test...
Castelli Perfetto Light 2
£135.00
For when it's too warm out for Castelli's much-lauded Gabba, their answer was the lighter Perfetto; and the Perfetto 2 is packed with tech to keep you comfy on those cool but not overly cold days when you still need some weather protection. The Perfetto 2's Nano Light fabric does away with a fleece lining and has Gore Windstopper material that is 25% lighter than the Gabba's for extra breathability, while offering protection from light rain and wind. Three external rear pockets and a quality YKK Vislon zipper complete the package. It sounds impressive, but do you NEED it? Mat Brett's tuppence worth will be in soon..

Kona Rove DL
£899.00
There's a lot of competition at the just-under-a-grand mark at the moment, and Kona's Rove DL claimes to offer more for your 899 pounds than competitors thanks to its do-everything suitability. The spec includes Kona's own 606l aluminium tubing and aluminium fork, Shimano Sora groupset, TRP Spyre disc brakes and WTB SX19 wheels, and it weighs in at 12kg. Coming with 35mm tyres and mudguards, the Rove DL is ready for commuting duties, gravel and everything in between, say Kona. Does Stu Kerton agree? Find out later this month.

2XU Sub Cycle women's jersey
£80.00
Coming to you straight from an 80's music video is the new 2XU Sub jersey, with this loud print marking 2XU's first foray into dedicated cycle clothing after being a big player in the compression gymwear and triathlon markets for quite some time. It's made with their High Fil Sub fabric for 'ultimate moisture management' and also a rear Aero Mesh X panel for 'unmatched breathability', so say 2XU. Does it have style and substance? Emma Silversides will be delivering her verdict soon.
