Tour Tech: Specialized launches new Sagan Collection for the Tour de France

Want to look like Peter Sagan? Now you can with replica race bikes launched

It's customary for Peter Sagan to get a new special edition bike for the Tour de France, and this year is no exception. He'll have the choice of the new Venge or Tarmac SL6 in a fetching teal paint job, part of the brand new Sagan Collection that Specialized has launched today.

This is the second Sagan Collection of 2018: it launched some gold coloured bikes and accessories ahead of Paris-Roubaix back in April.

The Sagan Collection uses with a teal colour that has been inspired by the water, beaches and views of tax haven Monaco on the French Riviera, where Sagan, along with many pro cyclists, spends a lot of his time.

This new collection includes an S-Works Venge (£10,000) and S-Works Tarmac Disc (£9,750), and matching S-Works shoes (£350) and Prevail II helmet (£180). There'll also be frameset options and a more affordable Tarmac SL6 Comp Disc (pictured above; £2,950).

“Like the man himself, the Sagan Collection masks complexity and power with a seemingly subtle exterior. Take a closer look, though, and the reality of each piece becomes clear: Its understated aesthetic is hiding the highest performing gear in the world. This is the Sagan Collection,” says Specialized.

Oh, and if you want to put the finishing touches to your Sagan look, as we reported yesterday, 100% have launched a limited edition range of Sagan sunglasses too.
