.Stop the search, we've found the ultimate bike shed.
We’ve seen some cool bike sheds and pain caves over the years, but we've never come across a shed with an indoor velodrome. Yes, that's right, this shed comes with its own velodrome. It does come with a £49,500 price tag though, so it’s definitely one for the well-heeled. And just to be clear, no it’s not April 1st...
Yes, a £50 grand bike shed with its own velodrome. Now we’ve really seen it all. Billed as the “only way to cycle like a professional at home” it’s the ideal way for brushing up your track sprint or give your budding track racing child the perfect start on their cycling career.
The Cycling Cabin from Tigersheds can be fully customised to your requirements and is measures 40x20ft. There’s no information on the size of the velodrome, the one in the computer mockups doesn't look that long or that steeply banked. The smartest person in the road.cc office reckons you could get roughly a 31m length velodrome in a shed of that size.
So you 'might' be able to the 25m Red Bull Mini Mini Drome inside there, but it might not. Or you could fit the Scalextric London 2012 velodrome with space to spare!
The smallest velodrome I’ve ever ridden is the 142m Calshot velodrome and that is scary. To ride one this small inside a shed sounds terrifying.
It comes with bike stands both inside and outside, so plenty of storage for all your bikes. A 10 year Gold Medal guarantee offers peace of mind on such an expensive purchase.
There are optional extras for your plush bike shed. Cycling kit for men and women costs £150 and £100 respectively, a helmet is £60, a chain lock is £20 and a puncture repair kit is also £20. Yes, £20!
Like the sound of it? Head over to https://tigersheds.com/ for a closer look. If you do order one, please let us know, we'd love to come visit.

BTBS jr has just built his own 10x8x8 shed at his new house, solid wood and double skinned too, it's a decent height for most things including hanging bikes up
The height of the one here seems to waste an awful lot of timber and space, you'd be better off having, rather than a ridiculously expensive mini track, to invest that money on some heating, proper workbenches, 60" screen with a spot for your turbo trainer, tools and racks to hang your n+1s and spare hoops. Maybe somewhere for your sprints to mature, the design isn't condusive to have the niceties like a bloody big sofa, mini kitchen or shower room, all essentials for a top spec man cave IMHO.
Solar panels + storage battery and geothermal heating for hot water would be a good idea, you could maybe connect up your turbo trainer to generate more leccy.
It would be your own velodrome shed in your own garden. Why would you need to wear anything?
I think I would get rather dizzy on that velodrome!
Who decided a load of steps outside a bike shed would be a great idea!
Danny MacAskill?
At least the price of the puncture repair kit hasn't gone up with inflation (ba-dum-tish!) since the last time you ran this story in 2016...
