PEdALED eyes adventure riding with new Jary All-Road clothing range

Call it what you want, but gravel, adventure and all-road cycling are popular right now, and PEdALED has used this mixed-terrain riding as inspiration for its new Jary All-Road Collection.

It’s the company’s first dedicated collection of clothing for off-road riding and includes a merino jersey in short and long sleeve, a merino jacket and baggy shorts.

PEdALED says it wanted to keep things simple with its new Merino Jersey to match the “beauty of riding free on the woods and on gravel paths” whilst maintain the best performance possible. The jersey combines merino wool and synthetic fabric in a loose t-shirt fit.

It’s available in a short sleeve (£105) or long sleeve (£135), the latter gaining a valuables pocket and front buttons. PEdALED says it can be worn over a base layer on cooler rides or on its own next to the skin. You can choose from three colours: mustard, teal and charcoal.

The jacket is a waterproof three-layer material with a DWR coating and merino wool lining. It’s packed with details, there are five pockets, a two-way front zip, reflective details abound and a neck flap to huddle into on a cold morning. It hides a neat internal cargo pocket for even more storage, accessed from the front zip.

Lastly and I think my highlight of the new range, is the All-Road Shorts (£125). I always wear baggy shorts mountain biking but have taken to wearing fitted baggy shorts over lycra on my gravel rides this year, for a more relaxed look and feel and the usefulness of an extra layer of protection (from muddy puddles) and additional pockets.

These shorts are made from a rip-stop fabric which is water-resistant. They are stretchy to provide elasticity for the legs and comfort at the waist. There are three pockets and they can be worn over the company’s own boxer pad for longer rides, or your favourite bib shorts, or without padding for shorter rides.

The aforementioned Boxer Pad (£80) is designed to go under the Jary Shorts and uses a Greentech padded insert that has been designed specifically for off-road riding. What that means we don’t actually know, but we’ll try and find out.
