It's prime Christmas gift-buying time, but just what do you get for the cyclists in your life? We've curated this great guide with gifts for cyclists from just £15 right up to £600. Whatever your budget, and whoever you're buying for, we've got you covered!
Buying gifts for cyclists can feel like a mince-pie-strewn minefield... so in no particular order, here's a cheese board of gift ideas giving you options from easy stocking-fillers through to big presents.
DexShell is an original manufacturer, making high-quality waterproof socks and gloves for over a decade. These Hytherm Pro socks are the warmest in the range, making them ideal for the regular commute or colder winter days.
A comfortable fit and quality materials make DexShell socks feel just like regular socks but with the added benefit of waterproof protection. The long calf length keeps more warmth in the muscles and repels front wheel spray, whilst the breathable Porelle membrane interlining keeps you comfortable.
They're also hard wearing with the outer made from 97% Polyamide and 3% Elastane. These are ideal for the current wintery conditions, but if you're after a thinner waterproof sock then we recommend taking a look at DexShells Ultrathin Crew sock.
Lezyne Pocket Torque Drive - £65
With a 2-6Nm range, this compact torque wrench is ideal for most smaller bolts on your bike: eg. stems, seat clamps and bottle cage bolts. It comes in this rather neat carry case and has a stow-away handle making it perfect for a back pocket, under your saddle or to take with you when travelling.
We were particularly impressed with the clear 'click' when the torque setting is reached, plus the reassuring quality of the machined aluminium body and six hardened steel bits.
This really is a thing of beauty and extremely practical. It includes hex bits 2.5, 3, 4, 5 as well as Torx bits T20, T25.
Nutcase Vio Commute Helmet - £125
The Nutcase Vio is quite possibly the best helmet you can wear to be safer. It features built-in rechargeable LED lights to give 360 degrees of visibility to traffic and other road users.
With up to three hours of run time (low setting), a 200 lumen output from the front light as well as solid, flash and pulse modes at the side and back, this is perfect for reducing the riskiness of commuting.
Lights aside, there's plenty of other premium tech such as its two-piece dual-density EPS construction, Mips protection system and Fidlock magnetic buckle for easy one-handed use. There are also reflective straps and rear logos to add visibility, a removable visor and six colourways to choose from!
Sportful Fiandre Pro Jacket - £270
The Fiandre Pro is a jacket made for racing in the worst weather conditions. Thanks to Polartec Neoshell fabric and minimal taped seams, it offers maximum protection combined with breathability and surprising stretch.
The jacket features strategically-placed seams that optimise fit and feel on the bike while reducing exposure to elements, a waterproof YKK Vislon zipper and reflective transfers on the back to aid visibility when putting in the miles in gloomy conditions.
Here at road.cc we've reviewed much of the Fiandre range and the products rarely fail to impress. The windproof, waterproof, highly breathable and stretchy material makes this jacket ideal for performance-orientated cyclists who are prepared to train and race in whatever the weather throws at them.
Veloskin Ultimate Skincare Bundle - £105
Veloskin is a British brand that makes its products right here in England with a "completely sustainable supply chain and fully recyclable components".
This Ultimate Skin Care Bundle is a carefully formulated performance skincare system for before, during AND after riding. It's also vegan-friendly and made with the highest quality 100% plant-based ingredients and natural oils.
One of the main appeals for Liam and Dave in the video was the smell; no locker room odours here! Instead, a refreshing orange blossom and bergamot scent, which is seriously good so we're told!
Veloskin chamois cream travel pack - £15
If that's a little bit more than you're looking to spend, then how about a stocking filler? Our personal recommendation would be the chamois cream, it's seriously good stuff and whoever's undercarriage this gets applied to will be very grateful!
When we reviewed the chamois cream a few years back we said that this is a thick, luxurious skin treatment that smells great and holds up on long rides. If you're a fan of chamois creams, you should try this. Words we still stand by today!
To make life even better, the chamois cream is now available in this handy travel pack with 10 sachets ideal for training camps, club trips or even slipping in your back pocket for a mid-ride ‘top-up’!
Tubolito S-Tubo Road - €32.90
Made of TPU and produced with a unique manufacturing process, this is one of the most cost-effective weight upgrades that you can make to your bike.
Weighing in at a featherweight 24 g (60mm valve) Tubolito claims the S-Tubo Road is the lightest road bike tube worldwide. Not only is it super light, but it also has very low rolling resistance which claims to outpace standard rubber tubes and offers performance akin to latex tubes.
Obviously a further benefit is that these tubes are mega compact, with a 78 % smaller packed size and the same puncture resistance as standard tubes. This makes the S-Tubo-Road-700C the perfect choice as a spare whether in your pocket or saddle bag. Just remember that this particular Tubolito tube is for disc brake-only bikes!
Specialized Torch 1.0 shoes - £99.99
The Torch shoes bring all of the performance and Body Geometry ergonomics of Specialized's high-end road shoes to more riders in an affordable package.
This latest generation feature a single lightweight Boa L6 dial with tool-free snap replacement capability, while also providing simple, on-the-fly micro-adjustments. The Body Geometry sole construction and footbeds are ergonomically designed and scientifically tested to boost power, increase efficiency, and reduce the chance of injury by optimising hip, knee, and foot alignment.
At the bottom, you'll find an injection-moulded nylon composite sole that is engineered to be both stiff and light. Reflective heel elements increase your visibility in low-light conditions, and the standard three-bolt cleat pattern means that these will work with all major road pedals.
These are also available in 10 different colourways, so even the fussiest of riders are sure to find some that suit their style! Keep an eye out for some deals on certain colours!
Vitus Energie 26 Youth - £599.99
With something for all abilities, Vitus' range of kid’s bikes are engineered for fun, confidence and control with attention to simple but assuring components.
Covering little ones from ages 3-7, from Balance bikes to trail-ready hardtails and CX bikes, the range is strongly influenced by the award-winning adult bikes that you'll find from Vitus. This Energie 26 Youth CX bike is the perfect example of a bike which is perfect for exploring and building those essential skills that will stay with them for life, whilst maximising the fun.
Exposure - Strada SB Mk11 with AKTiv - £334.99
With a maximum output of 1600 lumens, this road-specific headlight is a serious bit of kit and one of the best in the business. The Mk11 features burn times of up to 36 hours, an IP65 waterproof rating and more modes than you can shake a candy cane at, yet is miraculously still easy to control when barrelling down an unlit lane.
In its latest generation the Strada SB also gets AKTiv Automated Light Control. Borrowing tech from the automobile industry, AKTiv will automatically dip your Strada’s beam when it detects an oncoming car’s headlights to avoid dazzling them, so they can still safely see where the cyclist is on the road.
Of course, the Strada is also brilliant during the daytime, with a Day Bright bespoke pulse pattern which is more conspicuous than a regular pulse and visible from over a kilometre away, even in the brightest conditions.
Hammerhead Karoo 2 - £359
Winner of our tech innovations award in January and packed full of great features, the Karoo 2 includes a ‘live Strava segment’ overlay and a handy ‘% of time in HR/power zone’ graph, as well as all the usual performance metrics. This cycling computer is a go-to for its training and navigational capabilities combined.
Its 3.2inch screen is large enough for viewing lots of data fields, as well as the free global maps in detail. Unlike many cycle computers, Hammerhead releases regular (bi-weekly in fact) updates to stay relevant.
Also special for the holidays (until December 21), when you buy your Karoo 2, you’ll get the ‘SOLSTICE’ holiday bundle free, only at hammerhead.io. That’s a limited-edition Solstice Custom Shell Kit, two Hammerhead premium water bottles, a 60-day Strava Premium subscription, and a 1-year Komoot Premium subscription, all for free when you purchase a Karoo 2.
Stolen Goat Alpine Jacket - £160

Two internal pockets and a further zipped pocket on the back keep all the essentials to hand. Plus, if the temperature rises you can easily remove the sleeves and convert it into a gilet.
