I'm not sure that's the cause, checked all the obvious, saddle bag removed, zips, the spokes etc, its really annoying!
Value moving in the rim? Small squirt of silicon (bathroom) sealant instead of silly screw-thread collar work miracles.
Thanks for sharing that info, thought I was going crazy, I guess it's not something loose inside the wheel then? Mine sounds like its coming from the freehub.
Hi Tony
I have exactly the same wheels and exactly the same problem, took it to a Scott dealer and they couldn't find a problem, i find that it comes and goes, but if you leave it too long the noise will destroy the bearings inside. Though i still don't know what the problem is. (http://youtu.be/mCqm0Zr88-Y).
I complained enough and now after 8 months Scott have taken my bike back to investigate the problem along with a few others. Please let me know if you have any joy with this.
Joe
sounds like something stuck inside the rim, maybe a bit of swarf from the manufacturing process or a spare rim eyelet or something?
These are the wheels concerned
