I had withdrawals in both my teams, just squeezed in some changes before the deadline. Now I look at it, my purist is very TT-heavy which is either a big mistake or a revolutionary new tactic...
My standard is 7 guys that can sprint from a reduced bunch, one potential GC guy and a Europcar 3.0 for luck. Hoping for minimal changes until the TT, but could have called it completely wrong, difficult to tell from the profiles...
PURIST
Chavanel
Peraud
LL Sanchez
Roux
Larsson
Felline
Ludvigsson
Vorobyev (3.0 wildcard)
Planckaert
STANDARD
Degenkolb
Belletti
Felline
M Kreder
Porsev
Roux
LL Sanchez
Ludvigsson
Kern
Glad i logged on this morning as 2 of my team have pulled out, a quick change with 30 mins to go.
My purist is:
Tobias Ludvigsson
Pierre Rolland
Thomas Peterson
Francesco Manuel Bongiorno
Bartlomiej Matysiak
Franco Pellizotti
Angel Madrazo
Marcel Wyss
Julien Antomarchi
My purist team looks strong but my standard team is a bit cobbled together. Not sure what type of finish today or tomorrow will be so edging all my bets and going for a mix of riders.
Banking on being able to leave my team as is until Saturday afternoon then make some TT/GC changes before the big stage on Sunday.
Looking at their pics, pretty sure IAM is actually a firm of modernist architects. They all look they drive Saabs.
I'll put it out there , my purist
4 French
2 Americans
1 Spaniard
1 Columbian
And a Swiss fella
Chava is NOT in my purist... though another IAM rider is.
I've also gone for Phinney...
Not Lovqvist i hope....he's pulled out
Final pre race roster update has been done.
The big question, is Chavanel worth picking? He's expensive at 36.4 credits but when you look at the potential competition (Peraud basically) he seems a good shout.
I'm assuming Betancur and Rolland are just there for training?
I'd thought about Hushovd but he's not cheap!?
hushovd?
Aye, there have been a couple of changes so will pick these up this evening once the last ones have trickled through.
If someone you want to pick isn't in the current game startlist you can still add them to your team. You just need to change "Filter: In startlist" to "Filter: All riders" and you'll then be able to pick anyone.
Isn't it on telly?
I'll be running a start list update over lunch so if you look again this afternoon it should have any of the latest changes included.
EDIT: Roster update done with only a couple of changes. Will probably run another tomorrow evening.
Isn't Voeckler racing now as well? Can't see him on the start list ...
Also, think Sonny Colbrelli needs to go into the startlist
I can't remember as the competition archive isn't that extensive, however I believe I came 19th with my normal team, but I know I won the purist overall with that team.
Not gone too big with ITTers with my purist, just 1 out and out rider, but that could change yet
I know that Wig_Billy took the Forum's Scorums and old Tommy Two Darts(TERatcliffe)took the purist division in that mini league.
One of the hillier stages last year was cancelled I think, otherwise maybe Roelandts etc wouldn't have still been up there on GC. I seem to remember someone (TER?) picking his stage win at the end though?
With purist I've gambled on 5-6 TTers who also tend to like attacking on MM stages. Hopefully 2-3 of them will come off, i've been rubbish so far this season compared to last!
And Evans is probably looking for a block of training on euro tarmac pre-giro?
Dr the parcours this year is generally much hillier than last year overall id say
Chavanel could well have a go now he's a real team leader and IAM will want to put down a marker (plus they won the race last year) but this is the top ten from 2013
I'm not sure if this is a race for the big guns to be honest, lots of second tier GC guys and people who wouldn't get much of a shot in major races.
That being said, what is Cadel Evans doing there this year?!
Unsure about Chavanel on this one. He's cock-of-the-walk at IAM and will undoubtedly lead them at TDF - but will he be genuinely arsed here? Common sense tells me 'no', yet I'm finding it a wrench to drop him from my purist. The course seems to suit him, even the summit finish (I recall him giving it a bloody good go once or twice in the moutains at last year's Tour).
hmmmmmm brain teaser this one
The site has stage 4 as a team time trial.....Its actually an ITT?
Profiles are available at pro cycling stats but I'm reading it as follows
1)Classics type stage
2)Breakaway chance
3)Sprinters
4)Undulating 18k ITT
5)HC summit finish
Well spotted, thought I'd checked everything. Have updated it accordingly.
T'is open.
Will be checking the start lists Monday and late on Wednesday to pick up any last minute roster changes. Feel free to give me a heads up if you hear anything though.
Watch out for them bike thieves too......
Profiles etc. are here...

reached from the "Infos Pratiques" drop down on http://www.letourmed.fr/
Given the short nature of the TT (only 18 km) and the unpredictability of a 63km medium mountain stage including two category 2 climbs not bothering to make changes on that day might be a reasonable tactic.
Given that Sunday is the only real mountainous day and ends in a summit finish being able to throw some transfers at your team may come in handy.
Typical i'm dayshift on the Saturday and i wont have a chance of making transfers, looks like i'm going to do purist for both teams for this race.
