Well if the int sprint points are to be awarded that will be another 13 for me ....here's to hoping .
Also Enrique credit therewith due , top job up to now
It seems there were 2 Intermediate Sprints along the way today. http://dubaitour.com/ is reporting the combined results as below:
1° Taylor PHINNEY POINTS 8
2° Willem Jakobus SMIT POINTS 8
3° Steven CUMMINGS POINTS 5
4° Diogo NUNES POINTS 5
5° Lasse Norman HANSEN POINTS 3
6° Francisco MANCEBO POINTS 3
7° Fabian CANCELLARA POINTS 1
8° Rick ZABEL POINTS 1
I've attached the race route below. I think the Intermediate Sprint Points were awarded at the places marked TV. I think someone said these were 'something' 'volante' in Italian and not 'television', right? Well, I looked it up and it's 'traguardo volante' (Intermediate Sprint!)
If anyone knows or can find the order over the line I could add those points. Right now only Mancebo, Smit and Nunes have been awarded just 5 points for being in the breakaway...

Ok, I still have doubts, 'cause the points aren't broken down by Sprint point, but I may have figured out the site reporting, here's how they account for their points:
Stage 2 Intermediate Sprint Points
1° Willem Jakobus SMIT POINTS 8
2° Diogo NUNES POINTS 5
3° Francisco MANCEBO POINTS 3
4° Rick ZABEL POINTS 1
Stage 1 Intermediate Sprint Points
1°Taylor PHINNEY POINTS 8
2° Steven CUMMINGS POINTS 5
3° Lasse Norman HANSEN POINTS 3
4° Fabian CANCELLARA POINTS 1
So what I posted earlier was the Intermediate Sprint Totals. They seem to have a different classification for those. So it seems they awarded Intermediate Sprint Points for the Time Trial yesterday and that's why Phinney and company have points for Intermediate Sprints. Funny, huh? Anyways, if I clarify, I'll assign Sprint points, if not, it can either stay as it is or I can assign the Stage Int Sprint points as they are awarded in the race, 8, 5, 3, and 1 points to Smit, Nunes, Mancebo and Zabel...
Thanks, bud!...
Oh - is it the slightly hillier stage tomorrow? I got mixed up there. Might have a chance after all...
Yep, here's the profile... 2 places are marked 'summits'.. I wonder if they'll award points?...

Yeah!
Did anyone see it? A couple of VERY narrow sections on the run-in, one bit where they went from a 5-lane highway to a narrow slip-road, impressive how they avoided crashing.
Was lucky today - points from Craddock and Miyazawa were pretty unexpected, plus Hansen adding some finish-line points to his GC. No sprinters for tomorrow though (except Phinney, who everyone has)...
well looking like i called this one wrong
Podium!!
Lasse Norman Hansen is my 3.0 rider for the season - should have picked him for this

With 10.5 to go the break is caught...
There's a break up the road consisting of:
Francisco Mancebo Perez Skydive Dubai Pro Cycling
Willie Smit Vini - Fantini - Nippo
Diogo Nunes (Por) Banco BIC Carmim
That means points for J Andrew Hill! BMC at the front protecting Phinney's lead...
