Volta ao Algarve - Stage 1

Cards on the table time, I've gone for mostly punchy sprinters and climbers today, apparently the finish is very tough to control for a full sprint train to the extent that a win for Cav is far from guaranteed even at full fitness.

My purist team is stacked towards GC rather than sprinters

Kwiatowski
Costa

Kelderman
Modolo (my token sprinter)
Coquard (my cheap sprinter)
Paulinho (top 20 last year)
Sancho
Livramento

Annoyed I couldn't squeeze Coppel in there, he's my outside shot for a top 5.

Scores going up, missing intermediate sprint points because only the finish line points seem to be included in the Points competition. Will investigate further and may update scores later.

And there was me thinking I was being clever picking Modolo. Seems like everyone's a teeny bit cleverer than me.

I agree but couldnt get him in my purist team with the others id chosen most of whome should be ok for hills and the ITT

Thats why I had Kwiatkowski, because if it does go wrong, he could still will the sprint
