The men's prizes aren't a whole shit load better...
José Been @TourDeJose
Grand prizes for the men: a vacuum for @Kennydehaes, a grill, a toaster, an office chair, Easter decorations & beer! http://twitpic.com/dyevxm
Lizzie got a hoover
Scores are in.
So here is me, pushing to get the womens races into the fantasy game and get a little more attention....Then I go on twitter and see the prizes for today.
A hoover, A deep fat fryer and I think a toaster....I shit you not.
The sponsors and the UCI should be ashamed

A deep fat fryer? For a pro cyclist?
Wonder which one Lizzie got?
That is so shocking that, I promise you, I'll follow all the women's cycling I can from now on.
Provisional
1 Armitstead
2 Anna VdBreggen
3 Shelley Olds
4 Chantal Blaak
5 Annemiek van Vleuten
6 Kirsten Wild
7 Ellen Van Dijk
8 Emma Johansson
9 Amy Pieters
10 Iris Slappendel
9 Pieters
10 Slappendel
Cheers, I'd just edited them into my previous post as you were posting that.
Bollocks - 3km to go and the feeds have died.
Armiststead and Van der Breggen together. Chase group at 20"
Armitstead catches and pass Slappendel on the VAMberg -- now chasing VdBreggen - about 13km to go.
30km to go. Slappendel and VdBreggen had 55" - chase group sent the wrong way lead now 1'25"
Working stream with (Dutch) sound here...

Ok folks, you can get a live feed here from 1pm http://www.rtvdrenthe.nl/video/promo-ronde-van-drenthe-live-op-tv-drenth...
I don't think it is region locked either.
If you are on twitter, follow live updates from various people here

Now thinking my purist choices may out do my standard
Sticking a tail on the donkey
Ellen Van Dijk (DLT)

Jennifer Fiori (TOG)
Alisa Van Oijen (NRV)

I had a late withdrawal, but went with 5 the same in both teams, and the rest random. Don't really know what I'm doing, but did a little bit of research on past results, anyone who follows it more than that like to comment??
BOTH TEAMS

De Vocht

PURIST (Better, by my reckoning...)

You can't make Coquard jokes? I find that hard to swallow. But I won't stay tight-lipped on Minge.
Teams picked - 5 the same in both, and then some random guesswork. I know who the top riders are, but I don't know so much about their favoured terrain etc. Thats what its about though, should learn by the end of the season...
Sanderville - if I'm not allowed to make Coquard jokes, then you'll have to try a bit harder with Minge as well. Be good if they got married tho.
Pretty much, because they are not funny and have no place on the forum
So you're all just going to ignore my Minge jokes for the rest of the season. OK, I won't get into a flap about it.
Yeah, Siri is Norwegian and a class act on rollers. Never seen her race though

https://twitter.com/siriminge/status/415837399173066752/photo/1
She also LOVES bikes https://twitter.com/siriminge/status/402841598469627904/photo/1
She shoots guns https://twitter.com/siriminge/status/402841598469627904/photo/1
and if she wasn't so young, I would marry her tomorrow
If you're struggling to pick a team then my top tips would be:
1 - look at last years result - http://www.procyclingstats.com/race/Ronde_van_Drenthe_2013
2 - take a look at the results from the most recent races like Molecaten Drentse 8 -
http://www.procyclingstats.com/race/Drentse_8_2014
3 - pick Emma Johansson, she's a beast.
Job done.
Very Exciting! Nice to include the womens races.
Very limited in my knowledge of female cyclists, but happy to learn!
Should be good!
I've been all the way through the women's startlist and I can't see Minge anywhere. What's up with that?
She's not on Hitecs lineup for this race.
...and to answer your question on the other thread, she's Norwegian and currently the youngest rider for the team.
Pricing worked well I thought, makes you think a little bit There's also some sh** hot classics riders in the mid price range which might be overlooked!
I've picked mine based on last years results plus those showing good form so far this season.
Nice one GKam, well organised.... roll on the race!
Teams picked, main team is stacked with four of the bigger favourites and a couple of form riders, purist is aimed more at having a bit of quality throughout. Will see which one does best.
Nice job with the pricing Gkam, it's tight but I think you can just about get a decent team. I also can't see anyone jumping out at me who's stupidly priced which is great although if you've underpriced someone and would like to let me know it'd be appreciated
A budget of 140 might have been nice but overall I think it should force people to pick and choose between big names and create some difference in team selections.
Teams picked 4/5 bigish names and some randoms
