Purist - Sagan, Cancellara, Degenkolb, Matthews, Modolo, Parrinello, Hurel, Chicchi, Teklehaimanot.

Last night I had both Rojas and Denifl in team, glad I changed them out, Parrinello in the break

lead back up to 6'45'' 82km to go

I've just realised I don't have cancellera in either team

lucky guys with Kolobnev, hopefully the mistake will be fixed to Kristoff soon, unfortunately I had neither. Think that was my worst result ever. good old spring classics! looks like not many people around me in the overall did well either, dropped 5 places.

watched Ben Swift riding the challenge Mallorca, two 3rds here. The SKY bottle with his signature on pride of place in the living room. A more monumental achievement for him today though. Great ride!

Kolobnev

Looks like the decision to remove Kristoff for Matthews wasn't such a wise one. I did have a few quid on him at least.

On Saturday I spent most of the morning reading previews and predictions, studying the form, looking at the bookie's odds, going over the potential scenarios. Then a couple of hours trying out various combinations to get the "perfect" squadra for MSR. The most time I've ever committed to choosing a Fantasy team.

Result? - 14 measly points courtesy Sacha Modolo - my lowest score in 3 years of playing...

... Ah well, back to choosing riders called "Van" for the cobbles...
