Like I said, the only decent thing is to reset teams to when the race started.
Some people have received an unfair advantage, and there is not one who can have chosen people in a break after the race had started who didn't know that this was cheating (given the deadline is always before the race starts), which the vast majority of subscribers didn't do.
It's plain wrong.
I only noticed it after it was posted on the forum. For everyone to see. I honestly don't remember it happening last season. But if there was a race on the day that the times changed, it most likely did happen.
There was NO cheating, to cheat, you would need to hack the game somehow, it was open for everyone.
Did you really just say you need to hack the game to cheat?
We are all adults and as we all know any exploitation of a game mechanic be it server clock error or hacking a server is cheating , yes one is available to everyone and the other is doable to a few ppl with the right it knowledge but both amount to the same thing.....an unfair advantage in a game based on rider knowledge and luck.
You weren't the only person to do it as most of us who use the forum realise but I agree with joel . Timestamps will indicate when team changes were made and anyone who did it should just have their team scores reset to the team prior to race start .
Or for true punishment ,which surprisingly I don't advocate, have this race score count as zero if found to have cheated
What he said.
Easy.
Job done.
Couldn't agree more chiv30.
There is only one fair way of doing this and that is to set the teams back to the time the race started.
It deserves its own thread so that people see it.
NO-ONE has cheated at all. You cannot cheat in this game.
There was a mix up in the server timing because of the change to UK clocks. So the stage was still open once the race began.
You have cheated Gkam84. You and your merry band who saw it happen last year and decided to take full advantage of it.
That was a conscious decision on your parts to put riders in your teams who started out in a breakaway, therefore gaining an unfair advantage.
Funnily enough the dictionary defines cheating as gaining an unfair advantage.
This has implications on today's races, and for the rest of the season too.
Do the decent thing.
You think he did it, too? Where are you looking? Is the only reason you first noticed was that G put his team up on the forum?
Just click on his name and see that he added 2 of the breakaway riders after the race had started.
Nothing to discuss really is there. Some people have cheated. End of.
Poor. Very poor.
It is already being discussed here http://road.cc/content/forum/115390-gent-wevelgem-flanders-fields no need for another thread
Tbh I think it should be discussed in it's own thread at least then everyone will be aware that various people have cheated including those who run some of the games....
Poor form really especially considering a big company like wiggle has it's name associated with a game that has been paid for by some people and yet tolerates blatant cheating
Couldn't agree more chiv30. It's a disgrace.
