I have no control over the start times now the competition is open
I noticed your post just after the stage had started around 6.50pm (had just got home)
Incidentally he came 5th
I've started stage 1 thread
Planet, Hart, Bolivar and Leezer have 55 secs
A good ticker.

Useless if you're not using M$ - needs flash 11.9, not available for Linux. Also, just for fun it shows the warning message in black text on a black background - Hitchhiker's Guide?
I've gone for (std)...
Cav
Hofland
Goss
Reijnen
Anderson
Haedo
Stetina
Phinney
Sergent
With three more TTers ready to come in for tomorrow...
Yes, that's my std team, Phinney will be in tmw.
I've seen Danny Von Poppel on the PCS and SteepHill startlists but he's grayed-out in the game... Guess I should have asked earlier, but, is he riding? I think I should have put him in...
Yes he is riding, must have accidentally unclicked him when I did the rosters...
would have put him in had I noticed! oops.
Thought you might have picked up on this before now
Damn! So (!) unlike me!
I was busy fighting with the man who said:
and...
in another thread ...
I really should (!) get my priorities straight (!)
On the other hand it was still technically an hour or more before race start, so if (!) we had had (!) that hour, it would have been enough time to notice, post and notify others (!). So how about it? How about going back to having the deadline to say, 15 minutes before race start?
Think about this (!) too from the 'Vanishing Teams' thread:
Having that extra hour would give you time to update the Giro scores and we could get more time to choose our teams, especially with these races running at the same time!
Very similar team to Joelsim!
9 nationalities in my purist, not one American amongst them...
You could always post your team...
I will, in the stage one thread. My purist:
Wiggins
Jaramillo
Haedo
Ten Dam
Degenkolb
Dennis
Sagan
Brochner
Chevrier
I've gone sprint heavy for the first stage. Loads of penalties tomorrow (4 transfers planned).
Moreno Hofland (BLK)
Mark Cavendish (OPQ)
John Degenkolb (GSH)
Thomas Zirbel (OPM)
Matthew Harley Goss (OGE)
Ryan Anderson (OPM)
John Murphy (UHC)
Jesse Sergent (TFR)
Juan Jose Haedo (JHB)
No BMC Joel, Thor, Phin and GVA... I would say its Thors turn as he went well here last year, but I like phinney and he been very fast last 12 months(see oman, qatar etc) and he should go close in TT tom.
Ok I will open up the market, doubt anyone will follow me LOL
Standard
SAGAN
CAV
WIGGO
PHINNEY
DEMPSTER
HOWSON
LEEZER
JJ HEADO
CHAVES..
As you can see a few set for tomorrow.
Well there are gonna have to be some clever picks on this Tour with the stages all over the place. Flat, ITT, Summit etc etc
It almost feels like picking a Purist squad... I wish we had 4 transfers a day!
My 3 for 40 are:
Stetina 4.5
Haga 11.5
Craddock 20.7
How about pick 9 Yanks for 27 credits?
phinney
dombrowski
m cooke
for me please if its 40
or
haga
phinney
boswell if its 30
Phinney
Dumbroski
Warbasse
Reijnen, Craddock, Gaimon for me, if thats under 40...
Nah, I would say 40 credits is ok. 30 riders means over 900 combinations.
Phinney
Busche and
Dombrowski fot me
In fact, here's my motley trio:
Danielson
Eastman
Rodriguez
If there are enough for a Los Tres Yanquis comp, then I'll pile in. 30 space credits total would be sensible.
Purist is 4 Americans, 3 Brits and 2 Aussies. Sagan too expensive...
Tough to go from the Giro budget to the ToC. Very different beast.
How about doing it on a smaller budget? Say 30 credits?
Carter Jones 17.0
Thomas Zirbel 5.2
Peter stetina 4.7
26.9
There are only 36 yanks riding so it might be a bit tight for picking 3 but its worth having a go.
