Dorset routes needed - help please!

Hi there,
In celebrating a friend’s impending marriage, I have been tasked with organising a MAMIL-run around Dorset. We'll be starting from Ringstead Bay and the plan is to do a leisurely 60 miles, with a pub lunch on the way.
I know some of the roads in the area but I’m hoping someone with better local knowledge can point me to routes that will prevent us from time-trialling along boring A-roads. I know good routes west from Ringstead out to West Bay and east out to Swanage. However, I don’t know any pleasant cycling roads further inland to get us back on a circular route.
Can anyone point me to any gpx files or other map data that I can browse to pull a route together? Any other recommendations for routes or general cycling guidance around Dorset would also be most gratefully received.
Cheers!
Paul.

I spent a few days last summer pootling around Dorset. On the second morning I made the mistake of following the coast road westward. Jesus, that road is seriously steep, both up and down, but especially up!

Brilliant! The Dorset Audax route looks perfect. I'll check the others out too.
Cheers!

The Dorset Coastlet 100k Audax route sounds almost perfect for this. If you can't make the event, details are here: http://dorsetaudax.org.uk/coastlet.php#top

Loads of great routes round this way! I'd suggest looking at some of the local sportive routes to get you started such as the Jurassic Beast routes:

I wouldn't want to hijack this thread, but I am similarly interested in suggestions for routes in Dorset. Brand new area for me and visiting in April for a sailing event my son has entered. I am keener on bikes than boats and will be looking to escape Weymouth for a cycle.
