mrmo has a point. Oleg, who has been quite vocal on Twitter in recent days, must have been aware of doping issues and the lack of results is the most probable explanation for the sacking.
There is another very plausible reason, personality clash, falling out. etc. Oleg appears to have a strong personality and i can easily see him rubbing people the wrong way sometimes.
Just look at Abramavich at Chelsea, he's binned many managers for not getting results. These Russian millionaires just use sport as a play thing imho.
Everyone in the world knows that Bjarne Riis allegedly doped; he wasn't called Mr 60% because he was bad at maths. This is about Oleg wanting wins, not about historical stuff.
Is there any allegedly in it? I was under the impression that Riis has stated he doped?
Do we really want cycling to go the same way as Soccer where team managers are fired on a whim by the owners???
so the sacking a week before the Danish doping report is released is mere coincidence ?
The simple explanation is that he is being sacked for a lack of results by a team owner who is impatient and who has spent rather a lot of money on some highly regarded riders.
without getting too deep the one thing we do know is that he doped. He did get caught and therefore the suspicion will always be there.
Should note how poor Astana are as well ....
Was the contador comment really needed..... there are loads of riders not yet in form, he has a long and difficult season ahead so is biding his time. There is literally no point in slinging poo at people with no actual decent backing.![45](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/45.gif)
don't get me wrong, if he is doping then throw the book at him, but with no even slight suspicion about it....is there are any point
