Which is best?

Hi,

I'm completely new to the racing scene and have come to the conclusion that I need to recognise my limitations. Have gotten extremely excited about buying a new racing bike, but can't seem to decide on which one.

Having read forums, reviews, tests and comments I have landed on a few (lower end budget) possibilities. But this is where I fall short. Any help, experience or tips would be immensely appreciated!

These are my final four:

Cannondale CAAD 10 105

For that price you can get a Wilier GTR with Scirocco35 wheelset and Athena or Centaur gruppo

At least here. Carbon frame&fork, BSA threaded, italian, nice kit. hmm..

I ended up getting an additional 20% off on the Synapse, so thats where land. Thanks for all the input, now I'm off to enjoy my new bike.

Thanks for all the great input! Might have specified that I won't be joining any races immediately, but its definitely an ambition.

Due to some available discounts I have ended up with two choices at a slightly higher price range.

Now its down to the Cannondale CAAD 10 Ultegra og Cannondale Synapse CRB 6 105. Obviously there are differences in the gear, but have been recommended to go with the Synapse due to the slightly easier geometry. This is a recommendation from a salesperson mind you, but the price difference is just $60.

Any thoughts would be great!!

You're going to have to man up and choose yourself, since you're the one paying (and riding).

+1. Differences in bike specs are insignificant.

OTOH you might want to get a cheaper model and put some money aside for new wheels, handlebars or rear mech after the inevitable pile-up when some bonehead sees the chance to grab 29th place, mistimes his braking and wipes you out 3

why the rose pro instead of the xeon rs? it's the same price as a CAAD 10.

I have a cube and love that it has internal cable routing.

Make sure you get the size right.

You have more chance of finding a shop with Cannondale's and Cube's in stock, so i would look at those as a first choice.

It is always useful to throw your leg over a bike before a purchase to see how you like it.

Yeah, thats what I figured as well. Have done quite a bit of research on the specs for the different bikes, but just don't know if I'm missing any subtle differences.

It's going to be personnel choice. But it should be which one you like riding and fits you best. Unfortunately we don't always suit our first choice.
