PS: Does anyone know if I can change post title?
Want to remove the Urgent tag, now that the immediate issue has been resolved.
Thanks for the help, everyone. Ordered a pair of Ceros, they even threw in next day delivery.
Hoping to head out for a short ride today if they arrive not too late ☺
Got some Cero AR24's last week. Compare nicely with my Vision Team 30 wheels. They're a steal at that price, plus they are throwing in free tyres (Continental, not sure which model though), I'm still waiting for the tyres as they were out of stock when I ordered but they promised to send them in a couple of weeks.
Decathlon are advertising a set of Mavic aksiums for £150 if you are near one of their stores.
Good call on the Aksiums - Its looking like we've found them from £127.99 if you haven't got a Decathlon near you and don't mind mail order rather than a quick store pickup.
Cracking price - that said i'd prefer to spend the 150 or a tad more and get something half a pound plus lighter going over Hardknott like the Ceros or the Superstars (and not so narrow rims..)
Ceros are in stock by the look of them (i've just added one to the cart anyway).
Merlin have RS61s (10/11sp) for £150 at the moment. That's a bargain!

I'm quite happy with my Elite 24. Spin up fast, seem solid enough, look very pretty. The freehub is a bit loud, but then a lot of them are.
We found a load of heavily discounted random wheel sets that may fit your bill

There's all sorts that could come in at your budget - Forza Cirrius, Fulcrum Racing 5s, even a set of Quattros.
For just a little over your budget you could even grab a pair of Fulcrum Racing 3.5s

Superstar still have 20% off pre-built wheels until the end of April too - under 150 quid for a sub-1500g wheelset sounds quite appealing (if the hubs hold out)..
The CERO's are sold out, so I think you'll struggle.
