Well I misread these last two stages and had an absolute shocker, my team was full of sprinty-punchuer types (Matthews, Lobato, Felline + sprinters for stage 13) that were nowhere to be seen at the end of stage 12. Managed to fall 200 places, a personal record!
Picked Gerrans because I thought this finale would suit the puncheurs better than Matthews. Turned out OGE was indeed going to ride for Gerrans, much to the chagrin of Matthews... but then Gerrans crashed and was out of the race in the blink of an eye. All those points that could have been spent on Geschke. Or Contador. Blech.
Did I say I was 40 behind TER? 56 in front now. Blimey
Mainly had Geschke as a potential break guy for yesterday, and didn't see the point in using a transfer to get rid of him. My 3 transfers in yesterday were actually Geschke, Paterski and Gilbert so I got lucky there, could just as easily have gone Gerrans/Matthews and got stitched up.
2nd in FS, but need to watch the "transfers remaining" number. I have 22 left, is that about average?
Yeah, enjoyed that. 1,2,4,8,10 plus Aru too which was nice - I was prepared for a crap day today cos I didn't want to use any transfers.

Wow! Nice! Why, though?... For the mountains jersey or you thought he'd do well in the finale? Very nice choice! You should be at the top or very near the top of the podium today!
