Shimano 105

Hi everyone, I want to use a 11-32 cassette, my bike currently has a 105ss rear mech. Is it possible to use the 32 cassette or would I need a 105gs long rear mech?

Cheers Chris

I've got two bikes with a 105 groupset, both SS rear derailleur. One is a CX with an 11-32 on the back and 36/46 front and that's fine. The other is a 12-30 with 34/50 front and that's also fine.

An 11-32 plus 34/50 would be a stretch, you can probably just do it so long as you're careful to never cross the chain.

This all depends on what size your chainrings are ?
