Yes, cheers DanTe...
Your right, I think it costing them.. I could demo a propel tomorrow but wanted a bit something different.
I can't make my mind up. I need it to double up as a TT and general mile eater so I'm nervous of clicking buy on either one until I know I can go down to one do it all bike..
I'm sure they had a uk demo fleet at one time.. Can't find any info on that now mind..
Keep me posted captain..
Hello welshside if it was me you were asking as regards the seatpost I'm guessing at something like 23cm give or take a cm..
I really hope I've got it right. That's the one big problem with these Canyons, that element of doubt. You should'nt really have that when you're parting with the best part of 5 grand.
I think it costs them sales, especially with the Aeroad where the geometry is exactly standard..
Sorry mate Catalunya!

Cheers all for the info.
That xl looks tidy fair play..
I don't suppose any of you live in wales?
I have an aeroad in size XL. And I m 184cm (6"03). I ride it with a 44cm width handlebar, and a 110stem! And it is pretty low and aggressive with just one 1cm spacer! I couldnt have gone for a Size L, as the front end would have been far to low, and I did not want massive amount of spacers!
See picture, ignore saddle position as it isn't straight!

Nice set up!
You must have a long ol set of legs judging from the seat post on show..
The stack was my problem. I ride a low position but I reckon I'll have at least a couple spacers involved..
yes got long legs, and it is a little aggressive fit!
Can't comment on the CF SLX, but I have the CF. I'm 6' 4" and the XL is bang on with the stem slammed. Canyon online measuring guide was very good and for me accurate.
You're in exactly the same boat as I was about a month ago.
Before you go any further you really need to ascertain your stack and reach.
I would say that is essential as once you make your order there's none of this changing the stem and bars lark. Those aerobars need a full recabling of the bike and canyon are not up for any of that. They were pretty straight about that in one of their responses from s##t loads of emails I bombed them with.
My bike fitter mate had also had his fill after a couple of weeks of my OCD.
I'm 6'2 and ride a 58 CAAD 10 with one 5mm spacer and 3T Rotunda bars.
That puts my stack n reach almost bang on an Ultimate SLX in an L but effectively a L and a half in an Aeroad. It's the stack that's the issue with the Aeroad, it is low.
My fitter said play it safe and go XL, Canyon said go L. I went L but with a 130 stem and a setback seatpin.
Get some numbers on board before you start the whole thing. Make sure it's effective stack n reach aswell don't just compare frame stats.
Those aerobars are shorter and shallower than say my 3T bars..
Good luck it's a frigging minefield. It's was nearly enough to put me off.
The worst bit is I still have to wait another 6 weeks until I'll know if I've made the right call..
I'd be interested to hear how that L shapes up..
How much seat post extension do you think you will be running?
