8th this year to follow 3rd place 2 years ago.
I just needed arredondo to do something/anything ... harder to stay mad at Kudus
Aagh! Very very poor from me today. (And obviously I was expecting Cav & Greipel to win today )

I'm dropping like a stone. One change would have made me a potential winner, if I'd chosen Froome or Quintana instead of Kristoff. Then again I wouldn't have won 3 stages.
Yea Kristoff been a big dissapointment! I would of done much better with Greipel!
I'm sitting in 33rd now with my hopes resting on Mathias Frank continuing yesterdays good form.
Nice work Joel!
Sagan's relentlessness is doing for my challenge, although I wouldn't be surprised if I'm close to being the top non-Sagan purist team!
Tour De France Purist 3rd stage win...surely there must be a prize for that!
I need something to compensate for the punching, spitting and urine-throwing I've had to endure en route...
It won't here either! I'm not going to score many points today
Good luck Joel! Tried to do a similar thing in the Giro, but didn't quite work
2nd stage win today of the comp today and now first overall. Doesn't get much better than that.
Having said that my sprint team are now going to plummet, hopefully the intermediates can soften that plummet.

That was to stumps rather than you so he can see what we mean
As above. Stage 1 Purist shows my French 5, team and score. Stages 2-6 Purist shows my Standard teams and scores.
Click on your name in the overall and then go to stage scores and then click on your purist stages and you'll see what I mean
Checked mine. Stage 1 shows my French 5 for all 3 comps. Other stages are also incorrect. Stages 2-6 all show my Standard team and score for all 3 comps.
Just checked and my team is exactly the same with no transfer history unless you can see something I can't ?
I'm not saying your wrong I just can't see any difference.
As for removing teams I only meant if the user had changed his team not because of a glitch
Yours is showing the same thing too stumps.
They haven't stumps. Mine is showing as having changed for some reason and I can 100% state that I haven't obviously. Not that you can anyway.
There is a gremlin in the system and I have emailed Dave about it.
If people have changed their teams then they should be removed from the purist competition and placed in the standard leagues, simple as that.
I've just looked at a few including my own and it does look like teams have changed. Mine hasn't in reality. I'll mention it to Dave

Give me an example
Why is it when I look at some of the top scoring leaders teams in the purist league, their team on day one has different riders from the team on the last stage, as if transfers have been made? Or am I just not looking at it correctly?
Yay! Up to 27th and most of the teams above me have a combination of Martin, Dumoulin and Cancellara.
I may be in a good position before the mountains start. Hmm, then...
Quite a few intermediate sprint points for me today with Brun, Cav, Degenkolb, Sagan and Greipel
If a rider gets in a breakaway and hoovers up loads of good mountain points then I remember Arredondo getting 70 ish last year on one stage (and he didn't get any for finishing in the top 20 I don't think). That was in the Giro.
100 points is possible but is not going to happen very often.
thanks Chris a very nice explanation, will need to pay more attention to the scoring notes in future!
I didn't realise that the game was more geared towards the sprinters either. Anyways, lets see how my team fares...
Quintana
Froome
Wellens
Yates (the good one)
Gerrans -.-
Kelderman
Teklehaimanot
Brun
Devolder
Not what you would call a good start for Kelderman. But we'll see, maybe he will go for the KOM jersey now. Hoping to see Tek in some breakaways in the mountains.
Edit:
My french team also got an awful start:
Pinot
Bardet
Coquard
Senechal
Feillu
I've gone all sprinty. For FS reasons and intermediate sprint points. Time will tell whether it works out.
I've gone all climbly instead of sprinty, but did not realise the scoring was skewed towards intermediate sprints and KOM points (was it the same in the giro?). So my lack of sprinters and/or breakaway 'specialists' may cost me....
NAIRO ALEXANDER QUINTANA (MOV)
CHRISTOPHER FROOME (SKY)
VINCENZO NIBALI (AST)
MATHIAS FRANK (IAM)
TEJAY VAN GARDEREN (BMC)
ANDREW TALANSKY (TCG)
ADAM YATES (OGE)
JOS VAN EMDEN (TLJ)
WILLIAM BONNET (FDJ)
Its the same, in that they score what the race scores, but in the TDF they just have one sprint per stage with 15 guys scoring, as opposed to 3-4 sprints with just three scorers. So normally there's a small break and then the sprinters compete for 6-12 points, whereas in the other races the break snaffles all the sprint points. Makes sprinters a lot more valuable in the TDF than the other grand tours as far as fantasy cycling goes - took me a year to work that out as well!
KOM tends to hot up in the second half of the race with big points for Cat 1 and HC. If a guy in the breakaway crests those climbs first and then goes on to win the stage, there are huge fantasy points - Voeckler got 100 in one stage a couple of years ago(!) and Rolland maybe 80-odd one day in the same tour. But over a few stages the GC guys will still be the top scorers...
