Kept mine the same, time gaps should not be as big. (my only considered change was Gesink for Mollema, but Gesink lost the coin toss again and Mollema gets another go)
Now please go for the mountains Jersey Mr Rolland as thats why I picked you to be honest
Have only made 1. Am currently 8th in standard but have used too many changes and not overly happy with my mountains team, am predicting a steady drop down the leaderboard...
4 transfers for me for stage 11. Wasn't planning on any. Oh well.
I feel your pain TER, I also felt good about Gesink today...but my big mistake was taking Contador over Valverde! Everyone saw AC did not look strong, but he has bluffed in the past, and in the end, I said to myself, "he's still Contador". Oh well.
Id have come 2nd by 2 points had I gone for Gesink over Mollema, but stupidly didnt!
Wonder if the French might be a day late for the Bastille Day festivities... Not a lot of action today.
well it was an impressive ride by Barguil, 3 minutes down after his crash and still ended up 15th, would have been interesting to see what he could have done if fully fit.
I was more disappointed by the lack of action in the break, I gambled on a few breakaway ‘specialists’, only 2 riders in the break? A waste of transfers, although hopefully more action tonight with all the KOM points on offer…
What a punch in the gut to everyone!
The winning team today?...
37.5 Christopher Froome
34.6 Nairo Quintana
31.3 Tejay Van Garderen
20.2 Robert Gesink
18.8 Warren Barguil
9.3 Adam Yates
8.5 Christophe Riblon
3.0 Tom Leezer
3.0 Angelo Tulik
For a measly total of 168 points... Wow, no one saw that coming!
Barguil, because of the crash, was probably worthless... Riblon was a no-show... but A. Yates and Gesink were brilliant picks for old blue eyes (Team The ratpack), nice name, by the way! Let me see... That's 7 riders?... And only 2 3.0 riders?... Hmmm... Well, I have faith for tomorrow! Go, Valverde, go!
He scored 12 points
Yates scored 16 points
You are a tough marker.....
Frooooome!!
Frooooome!!
Frooooome!!
Frooooome!!
Frooooome!!
22 left which seems to be average but as France failed to deliver, I will have to use some up I was not expecting.
that rodriguez had a stellar day, eh enrique
Entschuldigen Sie bitte, Herr Atkinson , aber ich denke , was ich sagte, war nicht , dass dies das Team mit der höchsten Punktzahl , aber dass es das beliebteste Team
Gutted i went mollema over gesink!!!!
Just 1,3,8 for me
At least 59 sprint and point points for me in Purist with my sprint team. Phew!
I've got 20 left which is running a bit hot, but there won't be many in the next few days.
Going all out on the TTT cost me a few transfers, down to 21
30.
Barguill hit the deck and is 3 minutes down and in pain. Only just made the last minute choice of Dan Martin today over him.
only 22 left for me
24. About par?
I've got 25 left which I think should be plenty to allow me some sprint and breakaway changes too.
Froome
Quintana
Tejay (tough call)
Barguil
Rolland
Delaplace
Hollenstein
Laporte
Senechal
23 transfers left, and 11.6 money in the bank for tomorrow.
I'm 62nd at the moment but fearing a fall to an obscure 200th as happened in the Giro
Similar to your team Enrique, but without Greipel and Jrod!
Froome
Tejay
Quintana
Meintjes
Vuillermoz
Mollema
Brun
Van Summeren
Laporte
NAIRO ALEXANDER QUINTANA (MOV)
CHRISTOPHER FROOME (SKY)
FREDERIC BRUN (BSE)
TEJAY VAN GARDEREN (BMC)
CHRISTOPHE LAPORTE (COF)
WARREN BARGUIL (TGA)
DANIEL TEKLEHAIMANOT (MTQ)
ANDRE GREIPEL (LTS)
JULIAN DAVID ARREDONDO (TFR)
There you go. No great shakes for me today but no changes planned for the next few days.
Apart ffrom having Froome, I still think it's too early to be populating my team with all the big GC names. I think I am more likely to get a stage victory form someone like Rodriguez or Bardet.
Enrique, as history shows us, when we all pick the couple of fave riders such as Froome, Teejay and Nairo, then it's the day that Contador and Nibali and the rest outshine them.
Nothing is certain in cycling!
