Velcro, micro adjusters, laces - which gives the best comfort?

After a couple of years of being clipped in on my MTB I now have a road bike. I'm still using my Shimano SPD touring shoes, and am deciding which shoes to buy (probably with SPD-SL). Which fastening(s) will give me long-term comfort and joy?

Tbh if you're happy with your current shies I'd stick with them, if it ain't broke don't fix it etc....

Boa, Velcro, ratchet straps all give the ability to adjust the tightness of the shoe with one hand while riding.
Laces need you or your mum to get it right first time.

Boa dials are great, easily adjusted even while on the bike.
