Shimano RS31,s

Bought some rs31 wheels and was happy with them.I had only used the rear but on putting the front in I have a problem. The rim runs true but when braking the rim feels like a warped disc on a car.Has anyone else had the same problem?

Seem to recall Shimano had a bad batch of RS80s a couple of years ago.  They exhibited exactly this behaviour.  Shimano replaced them without question under warranty.

I ran RS31s for about 2 years now and am so happy with them I got the disc version when I got a disc frameset earlier this year.

Have you checked the hubs?  Old school cup and cone bearings on these and they may need a slight tighten.

Yea I'm happy with the wheels too. They are well made and ride real well. The only problem is the warp in the front rim.The bearings are fine the pads are new etc.All I'm asking is has anyone had the same problem? ( warped rim)

Of course and tried the wheel in a different bike. The feeling is the same (warped) rim out of the box.Never had a problem with Shimano in 25 years so it's a first ,thats why I'm asking has anyone had the same problem.Could be a faulty batch of rims from whoever makes the rims!
