glad you enjoyed it- sorry I couldn't join you: taking the boy for his first ride on his first road bike!
Hey rjfrussell,
Just wanted to say thanks for your suggestions, we rode your long route today and it was stunning. A really good mix of climbs, quiet roads and scenery. Kent is a truly beautiful place to ride, the cafe was top notch too.....
Thanks again![1](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/1.gif)
No worries. As I say, just let me know how to get in touch if you want to discuss further- there are loads of really good options round here.
There are all sorts of possibilities, but the challenge is keeping to quiet lanes/ roads without getting more elevation than you may be looking for.
As suggestions:
Shorter-

Longer
https://www.strava.com/routes/4319160 coffee stop at Java and Jazz in Forest Row.
Happy to discuss further if it would help.
Thank you very much![1](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/1.gif)
what sort of elevation gain do you want, and how big a cafe do you need?
We usually have around forty riders split into two groups for the cafe stop. As far as elevation goes, the last one had 1500ft in 25 miles which I'd say is probably about the maximum for the shorter group.
