I did pretty well. A pair of merino cycling socks, a park tools chain wear guide tool, zinn road bike maintenance manual, and another book that wasnt delivered before we left for the alps. Can't wait to get back and see what it is.
Happy New Year people.
She must love you
A set of Tacx Antares rollers, which I have already managed to scare myself witless on. A set of mudguards for when the snow has gone, as was the clear lens for my Radars. Chasing Legends DVD still hasn't arrived though...
A Garmin Edge (which I cant get to talk to our computer ) and some money to put towards a bike. Also got the Bradley Wiggins photo book from this years Tour.
So I am happy.
I got a 2010 Campy Super Record groupo....I found a great 50% off sale and couldn't resist. When my wife asked if I would buy her an eliptical trainer for Christmas, I was only too willing to oblige. It's been fun piecing my next bike together as $ becomes available.
Cheers
I was lucky enough to receive Le Metier, Chasing Legends DVD, Brad Wiggins On Tour book and a brand spanking new Cycleops Jet Fluid Pro turbo trainer!
A grey Tørm T5 top for me, that's it (no complaints really, it's very nice - arms are a bit short but the quality seems top notch).
What do I have to do to get a Rapha voucher next year?
I've no idea what I did - my voucher was from my mother in law!
A lezyne alloy track pump that is a joy to behold.
'Overcoming' dvd
'A dog in a hat' book
A Rapha voucher - just converted into a merino baselayer (I was tempted by the Paul Smith Merino hat and the club jersey they had in the sales but figure the baselayer will give me more use.
all in all a happy Hatter!
A bike bag for the training camp in February also some bits for my vintage MacClean. My partner did better Campagnolo book, Spring Classics book. Lion of Flanders t shirt, 2010 Paris-Roubaix DVD (cos someone used the video it was taped on, wonder who that was ) Calendar from Prendas.
Wishing you all a great 2011 season.
a posh razor, badger brush and shave-soap kit, that judging from the dismayed look i got was meant for my face not my legs
what did they expect?
Some winter riding gloves, socks and thermals.. and some new Keo pedals
just treated myself to some Rapha 3/4 shorts in their sale… like the idea of the merino pants as a commuting aid
…but
Did pretty well on bike stuff for my birthday in November, so not so much for Christmas, but what i did get was nice - pair of Sock Guy saltire socks so I can fly the flag, pair of Giro d'Italia socks and three Colnago head tube stickers. One of those is on my camera case already, thinking of a home for other two (might stick one on iPhone case).
Chocolate - got some very nice chocs from Baratti & Milano who are based in Turin and have a cafe in Piazza Castello there, the missus has ordered me to pay a visit and bring back some goodies when I go out for the first few days of the Giro d'Italia in May
Shutt Winter Jacket, Boy Racer and 100 greatest climbs!
Nothing bike related from friends or family.
I did get myself a present, a Crumpler Zoo Daddy to carry my laptop safe and dry when I ride to work.
Bike related.... zero.
But, I'm due some thing from the New Year sales as an incentive to backup my NY Resolution to commute more.
was lucky!
I got...
an "id rather be cycling" mug
a tyre belt (ex specialized mondo)
2 copies of 100 greatest climbs!
two wheels book
click together pen holder with cyclist!
copy of cycling plus
Nowt. Nada. Nothing. Zilcho-baby. Who do I complain to?
Morning all. Happy Christmas.
I got a merino skull cap and a copy of Will F's Cyclopedia.
Just need to source a copy of Chasing Legends and all will be complete.
Nice sunny day in Guildford so may venture out for a small one later on once the wife goes to work.
I got a Skully! And a Toblerone, which I intend to use as ride energy
Shutt VR 3/4 bib shorts, training jersey and buff! Santa was very generous
the bonts sounds like a nice pressie, no bike related pressies for me, actually not that much choc either, but it was my birthday last week and still eating through the small hill I got for that so prob just as well. Am treating myself to some bike related pressies in the sales though. Some new bars for the Roadrat and poss something from the Rapha sale too.
So far I've only had choccies and a CD, but I reasoned that if I scoff enough of the choccies it will make me get out on the bike to burn off some of the calories.
So does that count as bike-related?
