Gore is good. Waterproof and warm!
I just got mine in the Edinburgh Bike Co Op sale... loving it.
My Endura Illuminite has held up well though, and depite the fact that it has a light in the tail - it looks okay off the bike. My wife would let me know if it didn't![1](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/1.gif)
The zip went on my Endura night vision jacket after about a month's use, which is a bit of a dissapointment, to put it mildly.
Pleased with my Endura Flyte which I got for £90. Used both on and off road.
Couple of the zips went on my Altura Attack jacket after only a handful of rides
, ever sine then I have spent the extra cash on Gore kit.
My Altura Night Vision jacket has done me good service for around 2000 miles of commuting but is starting to show signs that it needs replacing.
My ride is 11 miles each way, and the jacket as been nicely waterproof for rides of that length. It's very warm, though, so if you're naturally warm-blooded, you might find it a bit much.
For a short commute look at the Endura Gridlock jacket. I find it very waterproof although not that breathable but that doesnt really matter for me on my short commute of 5 miles.
£40 - £55 ish
Thanks guys, I shall have a look at those, cheers.
Have a look at the Endura Helium jacket. It performs really well and looks good too.
Gore bike wear do a paclite Goretex jacket. Reflective details but you can get it in "off the bike friendly" black. Completely waterproof.
Or Rapha jacket second hand on ebay (I picked up one for £80).
