Sorry Dave, now realise your a young man! The Guy I knew had the same name as you, but he was about 5/6 years younger than me - I'm 64, years young!
I remember running with a guy with the same name : Dave Atkinson. Participated in many Marathons in the 70's and 80's My best for the Marathon was 2hours 38, minutes! If your the Dave Atkinson I knew back then? You were slightly quicker than me; well, on most occasions.
Thanks for the link BTW

The FoD spring classic isn't in wales exactly but it's well worth riding. there's a bunch of audax rides that head out from south wales too, check out http://aukweb.net/events/map/
I'd also like to know as the guy I lent my pump to yesterday was doing the Ajax100 http://www.cardiffajaxcycling.co.uk/news/100-mile-reliability-ride-regis... which I had to google later to find out what he was on about. The ones I'm aware of in my neck of the woods are:

Thanks for the links! Very much appreciated. I may try the Pendine 43, miler as a slow ride back to fitness; and a bit of socialising.
