Cannondale Caad8 6 Tiagra wheel upgrade

Have a look in the classifieds ... some really nice American Classic Sprint 350s for £200! 150g lighter than Ksyriums too.

I'd have a good look at the reviews on this webiste under the 'Gear' tab above. Some really honest opinions

Just ride it with the stock wheels, I think they're this:

Rims:
Maddux RS 3.0, 32 hole

Hubs:
Formula RB-51, RB-5

Tires:
Schwalbe Lugano, 700x23c

Which, to be honest I've never heard of, but they're probably OK for a while.

For racing and Time Trials, look at Planet X deepies, or other carbons, and use them ONLY for racing.

For target sportives, Ksyriums? Fulcrum Racing 3's. Just leave them on the bike all the time.

Or just upgrade the tyres, to Ultremos, obvs.

Consider why, what and how much -
why do you want to upgrade,
what do you intend to do-ride that requires upgrade,
and the big one - budget £100-£2000????

Not a sarcastic answer/question, just something you need to consider. If it is to make a good bike just that little better/reliable then some reasonable priced Mavics (Aksium) or Planet X would be a good start. If you are trying something different like sportives then think about lighter wheels, Ksyriums?

The the world is your oyster with a large budget, carbons, aero's and huge finance wheels.
Where do you stop. I would sincerely recommend you have a hard think of what you intend to use the bike for, if it is to enjoy riding but not so much competition then there are good wheels for a couple of hundred ££ and no doubt my fellow cyclists will give you their favourites.
Good luck with the selection, there are some good second hand ones available too.
