I saw this and thought of you... http://www.abovecategorycycling.com/shop/accessories2/computers-mounts/b...
That looks ideal.
Just need the garmin now. Really got my thinking now!
I had purchased a cateye strada as it seemed that little bit better than the basic cateye on my allez.
Is there any garmin or similar that comes with that type of mount as standard?
I had a halfords one a few years back that mounted to the bars on an L shaped bracket putting it in front of the stem, maybe thats worth a look?

Here is a link for the one's I use, in fact bought one for each bike. It fits the computer out in front of the stem/handlebar junction and as you say just a quick glance and it's there in front of you.

I find these MUCH better than stem/bar mounts as the computer can be back a little too far on the bars but with these little beauties its right where you need it.
Would also look good on your new bike that we haven't seen a photo of yet.
No issues with quality either.
Hope it helps.

Thanks Raleigh. I looked up the fsa one and
no thanks!
Guess stem it is. Although I might pop into cycle surgery again and see what they have.
You can get add on bars called osmething like "control Centres" from FSA I think.
They look kind of naff though.
Stem mounted seems convenient for me.
Or get that new 3TT Stem that has a garmin mount up front for what was it?
