I agree Wig billy and dr heaton. I have also been doing terribly in this comp. I don't expect to win it but then I didn't expect to be coming 851st either.
Dare I say it..... a game which I was completely addicted to is now becoming a bit too involved. Noone's pointing a gun at my head telling me I have to play but I don't want to lose my position in the top 50 overall so feel obliged to try to work out a team every night.
On the other hand, I guess I wouldn't be complaining if I was higher up the leader board.
Decent squad left for the remaining stages:
Evans
Chavanel
Martin
Rogers
Edet
Porte
Bernaudeau
Grivko
Kelderman
After the transfer window "issue" I've been doing the same Wig_Billy, no research, no hassle, minimum effort and crap.scores
Might pick it up again during the TdS but enjoying the break, will be going after the TdF though and hoping by being terrible this week and.next I'll use up.all my bad luck for the season.
I haven't really been focusing on the Dauphine (and I think my scoring has reflected this) - but it's all part of my plan...
I'm treating this race as a rest period after the Giro. I'll then try and build up some form during the TdS, with the aim of peaking for the TdF B-). (Please ignore the fact that this stupid analogy doesn't really work for fantasy cycling). #CrapExcuse
Moved up 409 places in this race today, finally a change of fortunes.
moved up to 24th in this comp, doing well now hopefully my team for tomorrow will hold on in there
24 for me, I didn't have anyone in the top 20, so that was a bonus, I thought it would have been less. I was at 12th in Purist and 63rd Overall, guess i'll have dropped a bit. But my team is still looking good for the stages to come
Seems it should be a good day for me, 1,2,6,16
Repeaing the benefits of gallopin from the start, also ratto has scored me the odd point
Make it i got 118 points
And should be looking ok for tomorrow too i reckon, my team will be
Martin
Rogers
?
?
Coppel
Gallopin
Simon
Durbridge
?
those ? will be my 3 transfers
Well I thi k there should be a sympathy prize for the manager who threw most pts away with his transfers. I thort ebh looked tired and dropped him last night. But kept degenkolb.
If Liquigas hadn't done that, Basso would not have finished in the top 100.
That's how you do well in races.
Basso's just OLDOLDOLDOLDOLD
Sky are pretty much showing Liquigas how to control a race after the Italians completely got it wrong with Basso in the Giro.
Not bad for today got 1, 4 and 19th. Had Degenkolb in as well but never mind.
Pleased with the result today given that my team was not oriented to this stage. 1 and 4 is ok as I have plenty of table points.
Pauriol and Howard are the only two riders I've picked so far who have done nothing for me.
Now got to think about my transfers. Make some good ones today to set me up for the next 2 stages and then see how it goes.
Liking this idea of building up transfers for every two days rather than blowing them every day as I normally do.
1 Edvald Boasson HAGEN SKY PROCYCLING 4:22:13

19 Andriy GRIVKO ASTANA PRO TEAM 0:00:08
20 Vincenzo NIBALI LIQUIGAS-CANNONDALE 0:00:08
Not a good day for Bouhanni given how much FDJ did. Howard nowhere.
Well that was pretty awful,no-one in the top 10 and just 2 lots of team bonus 5's and GC points to come.
Gallopin and Kelderman in for Navarro and Durbridge leaves things looking thus:
Wiggins
Evans
Chavanel
Rogers
Galopin
Kelderman
Grivko
Westra
Bernaudeau
1. Edvald Boasson Hagen (Sky) 4:22:13
2. Gerald Ciolek Omega PPharma-Quick Step) m.t.
3. Borut Bozic (Astana) m.t.
4. Roger Kluge (Argos-Shimano) m.t.
5. Murilo Fischer (Garmin-Barracuda) m.t.
6. Tony Gallopin (RadioShack-Nissan) m.t.
7. David Cimolai (Lampre-ISD) m.t.
8. Michael Matthews (Rabobank) m.t.
9. Sébastien Hinault (Ag2R) m.t.
10. Jonathan Cantwell (Saxo Bank) m.t.
Well I wasn't far off. Got 1 and 2. Pity as I had Degenkolb too.
EBH won!
Kluge high up I think.
1. Boasson Hagen
2. Ciolek
3. Bozic
4. Kluge
5. Fischer
Not really been following the race, just caught the last few updates on the ticker.
No points for Degenkolb today
Degenkolb has a flat tyre with 2km to go, it’s game over for the hot favourite!
16:41 - Gilbert attacks
Philippe Gilbert goes clear!
16:42 - Gilbert insists
Gilbert stays away in the last km...
16:42 - The winner is... Boasson Hagen
Edvald Boasson Hagen wins the bunch sprint. It’s his second stage win at the Dauphiné after 2010. Bozic is second.
Degenkolb flat tyre 2km out
Gilbert off the front. Too early I think.
Degenkolb got a problem.
Got Degenkolb, Howard, Bouhanni and Simon for today
Got EBH, Howard, Kluge and LLSanchez. Not that hopeful to be honest. Kept back transfers for the TT which is more predictable than these sprint (?) stages.
Got Boasson H., Koldo, Gallopin and Howard for this stage.
Ciolek win would be perfect, followed by ratto
I also have EBH, Simon and Gallopin
so far
106 prologue
58 Stage 1
48 Stage 2
need a change of luck
Yeah, got him too. Had a disappointing stage 1 but I was hopeful after his Tour of California.
Yeah would be good, hoping Howard shows up too
