You guys always go on about research I havnt researched one race and I'm 4th in the purist league for this comp. It's all about gut fellings boys
I'm hoping Howard finishes last again . . .
Had Evans in for a while now. He is attacking and I like that. Same for LLSanchez who had a bit of a go today but never likely to stick. Nibali could have a go with Evans as well but Wiggins seems to be not too bad at descending either so I can't see him giving up the lead.
Otherwise I'm packed with mountain guys. Just hope I've got the right ones. I can't think of many stages with so many mountain and possible breakaway points available.
Ive got rid of Tony Martin for an attacking Cadel, and Leigh Howard still in from the TT and flat stage (when he did nothing ) axed for the worlds most attacking rider since May: Andrey Amador. Hoping for some big points, could go badly wrong. As you guys say, theres no bike at stake, so what the hell?
83 points was enough for 42nd on the stage pushing me up 136 places in the Dauphine,1places2 in the overall,6 places in the overall(premium)and 2 places in the regional.
Chavanel and Bernaudeau out for LLSanchez and Sarmiento tomorrow.
54 for me. Probably change Grivko and Durbridge for tomorrow. Got a pretty good idea of who'll I'll go with but I might do a tiny bit of research first. Don't think stage 7 is going to be much different from today and tomorrow but might switch a couple of stars.
Not sure how far behind I am, thought of Di Gregorio and Mederel for today but went with star changes instead which didn't massively come off yet. Win still up for grabs though as there's no real way to play safe. Who would have thought Vichot would win?! Glad for him as he helped me win my one and only TdF stage last year.
My purist squad for the Dauphine has managed to erase most of the progress I made winning the Giro. I guess that's what happens when you stop putting any sort of research into your team.
Most have Cadel that I don't though, although if Brajko shows some form im quids in....
Want to get rid of rogers but cant raise enough funds without axing coppel
48 points over 2 stages isn't impossible, especially if you pick the right guy for the break tomorrow...
up to 16th, not gonna be able to win at 48 behind the leader, but only 21 off 5th and 13 off 7th
-19 points, oh yeah
My mistake, -23...
Impressive. I might go for the record negative score tomorrow. . . now whois likely to commit a doping offence. .
57 points i think for me, Gallopin, Wiggins, Kelderman, Rogers, LL Sanchez and Martin scoring me points. Went for the safe GC options.
There's no bike at stake!! You might as well have some fun!!
Hoping my guy scores some mega points tomorrow. Lost a few GC points today but nothing significant to affect my lead in East Anglia I think.
And Edet and even Pauriol picked up a handful of points. Even poor old Bernadeau is still worth 3 and is probably worth keeping for tomorrow as the big climb is at the end. He'll probably try and mop up a few points after the break have taken their piece of the action. A whopping 157 fantasy mountain points available tomorrow.
Haha thats a good point actually! Playing safe is just my style, gets the practice in for when a bike is at stake
I had all of those except LL (not as i was playing safe i had them for yesterday, although did put kelderman in, and plaza as my risk, pires also my risk (payed off))
Cant be many that have had gallopin from the start like me
Think im gonna make 1 change for tomorrow, breakway guy hopefully in for plaza
Giving me 3 for the last stage where i can take out rogers and play abit of a gamble
i dropped martin for Chav........opps
Only 72 points for me today
Also not sure where they finished but Chavanel, Millar and Grivko all dropped out of the top 10 overall...
At least the pires transfer pays off with a 10th place not sure whether that will save me
Well, Bernaudeau has earned a few nice points since I put him in, about 30 I guess, but I definitely wouldn't pay penalty points for him. I put in a different star rider to most people , but it's more likely he'll do something tomorrow than today.
Hoping LLSanchez does something at the finish as he's the other rider I put in after getting rid of Martin and Rogers.
A 20 point penalty for Bernaudeau always looked a bit dodgy
Bernaudeau dropped from the main bunch on the Grand Colombier
I fancy Froome today but already have Wiggo and Rogers.Only way to do it would have been to sacrifice Rogers and Evans for Froome and Brajkovic or Devenyns.
Only time will tell.
Kept my team virtually as yesterdays with the following
Wiggins
Rogers
Peraud
Moreno
Grivko
Barredo
Iglinsky
Kluge
Westra.
5 Non-starters
Durbridge
Geschke
Rosseler
Vanmarcke
Gérard
dr heaton,
I agree. You should view the overall 3 transfers to calculate the net gain.
Also, if one of your first two transfers gets less than 20 points are you still up really? If you use transfers 1 & 2 to bring in guys who score 7 and 10 points and transfer 3 to bring in someone who scores 21 are you up by one points or down by 13? Which transfer do you class as the extra?
I took 20 penalty points to put Bernadeau in (amongst others). Probably a mistake but hey....
so my team is
Wiggins
Rogers
Chavanel
Evans
Rosseler
Gallopin
Bernadeau
Kreder
Durbridge
One thing that occurred to me yesterday was, although you are docked 20 penalty points for a 3rd transfer, if that rider goes on to score more points in the following stages after you transfer him in, surely it is still a net gain, rather than incurring any penalty? Anyone else have any views on that?
