Cancellara had a heavy crash in Schelde today, but claims to be okay

I made that mistake before RVV, picked my team and then had a couple of non starters....gonna leave it until Saturday to do my Roubaix team - lesson learnt!

It's confirmed that Sagan isn't doing Paris-Roubaix - do we know when there'll be an updated/accurate startlist published? It's getting pretty close to kickoff now to not be entirely sure about who is or isn't riding - must be going to create problems for people sorting their teams on time soon.

Perhaps for next year we could run E3, Gent, Flanders, Roubaix as a single purist section?

In theory it makes it harder but actually because the first three are within 10 days you can pick a more solid team and the importance of Roubaix would be diminished (25% of the races rather than 33% in that window) meaning you can feel happier your team covers the majority of races.

Keeping Roubaix in there still allows you to picks riders with it in mind and potentially pick up points on those who just picked for Gent or Flanders.

Agree with Chris, also to add the majority of riders for Flanders will ride P-R, at least when it comes to the contenders at least, ok so you may have put a 3 point rider as a filler in, but is unlikely to win. I went with the obvious cheap choices of Devolder, Offredo and Maaskant, all unlikely to win but have proved in the past they can score decent results if in form, and are all likely to race all 3.

Thanks but we still don't know what will happen in two weeks, it's a long way off to predict the future.

I still think it deserves to be separate purely for the above reason, whether it matches the other two races or not.

It could be argued that E3, Gent-Wevelgem and Ronde van Vlaanderen (Flanders) fit better together but part of the challenge (for a purist at least) is picking a team across all three, you have to weigh up benefits of picking for Paris-Roubaix against the uncertainty of the start list. The race in itself is not so different from the others that it deserves to be separate but the fact that its two weeks away makes it tough.

Either way 6 transfers between races is plenty and by the time you make your transfers for Flanders the PR start list will have been fleshed out a bit.

Personally my purist is stacked mainly towards the first two but with riders who, if they ride, will do well at Paris-Roubaix.

There is no startlist yet for Paris Roubaix yet unfortunately, Flanders is looking almost the same as Gent
