Good to see one of my 3 rhyming frenchmen in the break. Wish I had him on one of my teams now.
Wat do people think of Pinots chances?
Almost everything pointed to him for me......terrain,locality etc but then I read that Team manager Marc Madiot has expressly forbidden him from attacking on this stage and blowing himself out for the rest of the tour......i think that of the FDJ guys Jeannesson is the more likely today?
- Hoogerland (NED) VCD - 161st overall at 49'27"
- Jean Marc Marino (FRA) SOJ - 99th overall at 20'22"
- Christophe Riblon (FRA) ALM - 61st overall at 4'49"
- Rudy Molard (FRA) COF - 76th overall at 10'57
that's the break with about a minute over the peloton.....got a feeling Riblon's won a stage here before?
*Confirmed....2010 stage 14 Revel-Ax 3 Domaines*
You would be correct Ray 2010 Schlek was 4th JRod was 5th that day
Yea look on the brightside a
Everyone's favourite Iron-Man Johnny H looks to be in the break
Bugger.missed the deadline! 0 points for me today!
Look on the bright side...Hoogerland in the break,Sagan and Cav will get green jersey competition points, the sprint comes before the first climb so you may get something there,Kwia might(doubtful)get over the mountains OK but after that you are clutching at straws OTHER than the fact that you will have the transfers tomorrow knowing who's got mountain legs and who ain't!!
And you're the first one to fulfil my prediction of a forum'er getting caught out by the deadline(or at least admit to it!!).
Christopher Froome (SKY)
Pierre Rolland (EUC)
Andy Schleck (RSN)
Daniel Moreno (KAT)
Nairo Alexander Quintana Rojas (MOV)
Murilo Antonio Fischer (FDJ)
Christophe Le Mevel (COF)
Johnny Hoogerland (VCD)
José Ivan Gutierrez Palacios (MOV)
Looks like Moreno could either be good bet or bad one by the looks of other teams
hoping for shock and awe from sky today. probably won't get it
Froome
Porte
Quintana
Martin
Nieve
Palacios
Le Mevel
Hoogerland
El Fares
Congrats! Dave what a great team call!
Agreed! Partly my purist team. Hoping Rolland will make more points over the two days though!! But what a ride from Quintana; he's going to light up this Tour.
Mederel
Bono
Gutierrez
Fischer

Froome
D Martin
Mollema
Navarro
Quintana
I reckon at leat one forum'er will get caught out by the deadline this morning......I wonder who?
My tour starts today.....6 transfers available and all used so my team is now
Froome
Contador
Quintana
Schleck

Kwiatkowski

DV Poppel
Oroz
Willems
Mederel

As much as i wanted GC guys wanted to have an experiment...
After 3 days of score 3 points per day and still moving up. I really hope my purist team comes to the front
Daniel Moreno
Przemyslaw Niemiec
Nairo Alexander Quintana Rojas
Andy Schleck
Michael Rogers
Johnny Hoogerland
Daniel Navarro Garcia
Jon Izaguirre Insausti
Maarten Wynants
Hard to believe that I have actually picked Shrek... I must have spent about 4 hours trying to work out a line up for today.. Still not happy but enough is enough...
KWIATOWSKI
MORENO
SCHLECK
QUINTANA
ROLLAND
NAVARRO
PALACIOS
FISCHER
SABATINI
I think today is about trying to get 4 top GC guys, tomorrow is the day to have the KOM contenders. To Schleck or not to Schleck tho'?
I know there is one "local" rider for this stage, jolly good climber he is too, but I haven't picked him because his early season form hasn't been as scintillating of late.
I have:
The 2 best lieutenants in the race
The 2 best grenouilles grimpants
Alberto's ex
The current polka dots wearer
plus 3 x 3.0
The problem with Rolland is, until he's dropped more time on the GC, he's not going to get away in a break to get more KOM's.
I was gonna go Rolland, then I didn't as I don't think he will crest the HC climb 1st, or be in the top 10 at the finish.
Got 5 riders and 4 fillers
5 changes for me , unfortunately I won't have a clue of the outcome till around 11 pm UK time as my journey to the alps and the tour starts tomorrow, just hoping I can get a WiFi connection somwhere then
Anyway I've gone with:
A dog
A Cobber
A future white jersey winner
An ex doper
A previous stage winner
An under achiever
And 3 fillers
Ive taken a penalty So I Can buy Bono.
He's just quit!!
The finish line isn't the KOM, so the KOM points will be awarded.
That's good news. I hope a couple of my riders go for those.
Thanks for the socks for the 3 Italian game. Very comfy. Used them for a ride tonight.
Whoa there.....I thought a stage classified as summit finish within the game would not count the final KOM pts?
The official TdF website shows that the final KOM point is 1.5km from the finish. Will this be scored in the game or is it being counted as a summit finish?
