Ooh I'm in 1st place (purist)
Incidentally, the event commentator gave the reason for the confusion yesterday with Adam Yates.
Turns out he took a tumble and needed a replacement bike - however he took his twin brother's, which was nearer to hand! What with them being the same size and everything. This then caused no end of transponder grief.
I'll see if i can post my videos that i took today at knowsley. Great fun watching the starrt, but packed at the finish line. Got a great photo of Dowsett apparently being chased by an elephant.
Can i post videos on this site somehow?
Yay! Results are up! I love this part of the day! Thanks!
Well not a bad day but not a great one .....too sprinty a team after first two stages ....
1,5,10,16,19 stage for me
1,2,3,5,18 for me from the stage but dont know the gc.
Well does anyone know the result yet ?
All Eurosport have shown is Wiggins, Stannard and then Bauer with W & S the gc 1 - 2 followed by Elmiger. The programme has ended with no top 10 or anything, pretty shite if you ask me.
EDIT: busy typing when the result was added
That's not official - just my spreadsheet from the times posted on the official ticker. I assume they posted all the times but I can't be absolutely sure.
EDIT: I've got 100 results. Should be 104 starters. Deignan crashed out so I may be missing up to 3 times. Depends if anyone else crashed out.
Can't guarantee this is right but I make it to be :-
1 Wiggins SKY 19:54.20
2 Stannard SKY. 20:31.21
3 Bauer GRS 20:36.49

Cycling weekly are reporting this....
Cycling Weekly @cyclingweekly 19m
Tour of Britain GC after st3: 1. Bradley Wiggins (Sky); 2. Ian Stannard (Sky) +33sec; 3. Martin Elmiger (IAM Cycling) +47secs
Just realised this is the gc.....my bad.
Rui Costa is going to Lampre....
Didn't realise Costa was away. Your probably right then, with Uran away and Henao training with Quintana and living next to each other in Spain it seemed a decent rumour.
Bit of a mixed up team for me today with an eye on the later stages. Gone for,
Alessandro Petacchi
Bradley Wiggins
Gerald Ciolek
Ian Stannard
Alex Dowsett
Ian Bibby
Kristian House
Jack Bauer
Nairo Alexander Quintana Rojas
Did you ask him who he was riding for next year ? Rumour is it's Sky ????
Pretty sure it's Movistar, that's why they've let the likes of Costa go, to free up the budget to give Quintana a better contract offer.
Well, got sent to about five different places to register, to no avail. So went to look at the giraffes instead. Then spotted Nairo Quintana in his team car, which was pretty cool.
I came by bike and gratifyingly overtook the Madison Genesis van (couldn't really call it a bus) on the East Lancs. They pulled into the site just behind me.
Lost Nathan Haas last night after I had already done my transfers.
Took the hit, and paid a penalty, but I was wondering, if I had put back in one of the riders I had taken out earlier, would it still have cost me the 10 point penalty?
4 changes for me
Ciolek
House
Bennett
Thwaites
S Yates
Elmiger (for Modolo)
Bauer (for Bazzana)
Wiggins (for Von Hoff)
Dowsett (for Cav)
Its only 14k so there wont be major gaps within the pro riders. Its a bit up, down and twisty so the technical tt'ers should prosper.
Brought in Quintana, i think he might be there or thereabouts.
Have a great day Ghedebrav! I've just brought in Dowsett and Elmiger, I don't know enough about a lot of the riders to be able to pick out any other potentially good TTers. There aren't that many to challenge Wiggo and Dowsett anyway, presumably in part due to the crossover with the World TTT.
Will be interesting to see how Ciolek goes - he has a 30-second cushion so might be able to stay in the top six on GC with a good TT?
