I feel that you are just picking the stages better than anybody else at the moment especially in Tirreno. Got lucky in TdF today especially with Bennett rolling in last!
20 left after stage 12.
Currently have 23 left. Have tried to stay to 'par' of two per stage and keep the three bonus picks to go crazy in the last week. Feel like I am constantly playing catch up so far in TdF.
I'm not doing so well Waterloo but enjoying it. Managed to get a couple of fantasy football online friends to give it a bash. It's going ok...quite tight between us.
My constant leveller is my son, the fragrantly named 'I Smell Bad'. I just know he will overhaul me over a full season. Don't start me on the football.... Just putting finishing touches to my team
So am I. I play that against my son and brother and my cycling against my other brother...the equally stupidly named "Grilled tomatoes"...
TBH i don't much like the fantasy football game and play it through habit more than anything else, it kinda adds something to watching football...but that's about it. It's a really frustrating dumbed down game imo. The prem used to have a game called Ultimate fantasy...that was much better, I enjoyed that.
Afternoon all.
Any other Purist players?
I think we all do on here...well the regulars anyway, I might be wrong, but I don't think so.
Well you are talking about transfers in other posts, which is not purist. Unless you have multiple teams?
Most of us here will play both.
Chapeau to the players who picked Hirschi today. Great skills, so unlucky not to pick up the win.
Fantastic ride. I wonder what he was thinking as he broke from the breakaway...do you think he expected them to follow?...
I apologise that this post is not about the racing, but I think that the choice for Zwift of using Weapon of Choice, Fatboy Slim, as their sponsorship tune is absolutely inspired.
Though getting Christopher Walken on a trainer wearing a suit, now that...
Bora doing their best to kill the sprint. I'm gonna regret taking out Alaphillipe for the day.
I am doing horribly! Literally every decision is wrong lol
Echelons. Let the wind blow and bring us echelons.
I love echelons.
Please.
Just realised I made a comedy error too. Somehow last nights transfer didn't go through.
I was pleased with Bol and Bennett, now found out that I had not brought them in. Still, I have saved two transfers for later.
Brill. Tomorrow is a tough call...might be as well saving again. Do you think the break tomorrow?
Fifty fifty?
Missing the deadline isn't always the disaster it seems, especially as it seems to be alternating sprint and climbing stages in the first week. My son missed a deadline and is still ahead of me with a few extra transfers squirrelled away. My downfall has been a stubborn refusal to believe that Sonny Colbrelli really isn't going to sprint this year!
20 second penalty for Alaphillipe....crikey...
Bidon inside the last 20km, comedy error from Quick Step. Least that means I can take him out of my team for a bit.
Do you not fancy him tomorrow?
.
Only with the jersey or a chance to take it. He said he wanted to go for stage wins anyway so I think he'll drop back now.
Yeah...time to drop him for one of the sprinters the day after maybe. What it does is make him a more flexible in/out pick. I fancy TJV to push for Yellow tomorrow and the the breaks become more realistic propositions once TJV are in the box seat. They'll be quite happy for the bonus seconds on the line to be won by Pierre Rolland and Hugh Carthy after that.
Ignore those 0 scores, pushed the wrong button. Proper update soon
Aaagggghhh. Can you help? I just made a transfer before todays stage (it hasnt started yet) and realised too late it was too late. Any chance that I can undo the transfer... I dont think Higuita will do as well on stage 3 and Id like Sam Bennett back.
Ah we've all been there. I have no power to do anything about that unfortunately. Possibly just chalk it up and hope Higuita works out for you today.
I should have bought a watch. But Higuita shouls score a few pts soon
You did alright, he came 5th on the stage and takes 2nd in the youth jersey.
In other news, with France still considering a full lockdown because of rising cases, with Alaphilippe in yellow now, will that speed up their decision....I've spoken to friends who are staff members on a couple of teams, none of them expects it to get past the first rest day.
