The Brooks B1866 shop in London will be offering custom bicycles direct instore from some of the most respected names in the handmade bicycle world, Dario Pegoretti kicking things off at the end of the month.
Ricky Feather and Darren Crisp are among other framebuilders signed up to offer personal fittings inside the B1866 premises at Seven Dials. The benefit is that customers won’t have to travel to the framebuilders’ studios, but can be measured and fitted right in the heart of London. Dario Pegoretti, for example, is based in Caldonazzo, near Trento, in northern Italy.
Dario Pegoretti will be at the B1866 shop on 31 January and 1 February, bringing along with him his latest creation, a collaboration with the new Brooks Cambium saddle centered on the Italian espresso brand Goppion. B1866 is inviting customers to book their appointment now by contacting the store directly. You can call (020 7836 9968) or email sb [at] brooksengland.com.
If you're interested in Dario Pegoretti's work, check out this feature we ran on road.cc in 2012, or visit www.pegoretticicli.com.
B1866 also offers you the chance to design your own Brooks Saddle, selecting the leather and undercarriage to perfectly match your frame or other accessories for a completely custom machine.
road.cc called in at the B1866 store last week and we think it’s well worth a visit if you’re a Brooks fan. As well as the saddles for which Brooks is most famous, it stocks the brand’s range of bags, bar tape and grips, tools and so on.
B1866 is at 36 Earlham Street, Seven Dials, London WC2H 9LH. For more info on Brooks go to www.brooksengland.com.

Or you could go to Mosquito Cycles who have been taking orders for Pegoretti for many years. Or go to a saddle shop.
