Quiz: which cycling brand are you?

Take our simple quiz to find out!

Everyone's got an opinion on which cycling gear is the best. This one's too expensive. That one isn't up to the job. You could just buy a bin liner and cut some holes in it, etc and so on. But there's a world of cycling gear out there. Which should YOU choose?

Well, we're helpful souls here at road.cc, so we've put together this handy* quiz. Just answer the simple and not-at-all-leading questions and we'll match you up with one of ten popular cycling brands. What could be easier? We've made sure that we cater for everyone, from the bargain hunter through to the big spender. So take a couple of minutes out of your day to see what brand we recommend for you. Enjoy!

*OBVIOUS SATIRE DISCLAIMER: it's just a bit of fun, silly.

I got dhb. Which is funny because their shorts have the most torturous chamois ever made. (YMMV.)

In reality: Vulpine and Gore. For shorts, only Rapha will do.

I got Craft, which I'd never heard of, and ended up looking them up, so someone in marketing knows their onions; fortunately could not find much in my size!

Hmm, DHB. Not that I own any of their stuff.

My usual brand is 'heavily discounted' though, so makes sense!

Craft, which is interesting, as that's who makes our club kit, so I do wear their stuff.

AS for clothing? A bit of DHB although mainly shoe covers. A bit of club kit made by Champion Systems, a Torm jersey (nice but pockets a little shallow) and a fair bit of Rapha. My experience with Rapha in general is that you do get what you pay for. My oldest top is from 2007, has been washed 200 times and my wife asked in January if it was new?

Rapha liked our tea cosy 'style' winter hat (see above) that they swapped a pair of classic shorts for it. It may look like a tea cosy but it's actually a limited edition - made from Yaks wool from the the yaks of Mottram Mountains in Southern Nepal...

Hmmmm, got Vulpine but ride almost exclusively in my team kit (ChampSys or Castelli) and supplement with Rapha winter pieces when the weather gets hellish.

Ha, ha! Like it! I wear a mix of Altura, Endura, Decathlon and Aldi in the real world, but my results in the quiz says I'm a Craft kinda guy

It gave me Castelli, which is fairly accurate.

Gave me Castelli which I do have a bit of but I'm more of a www.RoadHolland.com guy because I prefer a bit of Sportwool.

I got Craft, which I have a bit of but find most of it sizes a bit(cough) too big. Otherwise its dhb stuff which is gradually being retired in favour of Castelli when its in the sale...

Ha ! Castelli pour moi. I do own one pair of their fine gloves. Most if my kit is from Rapha, though - pretty close fit, though - so to speak.

You got: Craft

You like to think you're a bit too cool for own-brand gear, although you're not prepared to throw masses of money after that conviction. So it's decent value Swedish attire for you.

Pah! Not Italian enough! 45

It's says craft, but I have none of their stuff.

I don't really buy brands since campag stopped the sports wear, it just but what's half decent when it's discounted and put it away till something else gets relegated.

Craft for me. Was Lidl or Aldi a possible option though?

I got dhb and nearly all my kit is dhb. Can I take the "what are next week's lottery numbers" quiz next?

I got Aldi. Most of my cycling specific clothing is indeed from Aldi. 1

FUNNY! I'll be the one at the back of the pack gasping for breath in cheap shoes and baggy shorts with a big grin on me face. Oh, I got DHB, which makes sense...

I got Castelli:
"Just make sure you're number's visible on the next sportive"

Did you get the intern to write the quiz? 3

Got DHB, but I wouldn't touch wiggle with a bargepole!

Craft too. Hoped I'd be trendier with a Vulpine or Castelli.

This wouldn't be the one the Vaeon Roubaix bib shorts would it ? That's one that would have gone back if it could....

dhb - spot on!

Me too, and I dare say fairly realistic as most of our family's shorts, tights and jackets are from them.

You mean she'd forgotten that she'd washed it 200 times? 7
