What on earth was the computer voice thing all about?
It's all an advert for Microsoft's virtual assistant, Cortana.
Is naming the new assistant Cortana an in-joke with the guys at Bungie or something? That was the name of the Master Chiefs computerised assistant in Halo, wasn't it? Or has my memory failed me?
Yes. Halo is a Microsoft property, so they named the personal assistant in Windows Phone the same thing.
