This morning we had video on-bike video from Saturday’s Cyclo-Cross World Cup in Milton Keynes shot from the bike of Belgium’s Sven Nys – this evening, we have action from the women’s race, with front and rear cameras attached to US star Katie Compton’s bike.
Compton finished the race second in a very hard fought sprint finish with Belgium’s Sanne Cant, with Great Britain’s Nikki Harris third.
In this video, the host country’s other big hope for a home win, Helen Wyman, can be seen having a fall just before the 1-minute mark.
The chute effectively put paid to the British champion’s challenge for the podium places, although she would make up enough ground to finish eighth.

Still trying to understand the appeal of CX....
Great footage of the bike changeover.
Shimano need to use more taste when they're editing their videos. They always spoil them with stupid music (that's too loud in the mix, though it shouldn't be there at all), and annoying fast cuts (they try make it feel more exciting, no doubt). It just doesn't work at all, compared to the other (less 'intensely' edited) bike footage we're seeing from other people. Shimano's videos don't create the feeling of riding a bike fast (at least IMHO).
The footage from Revolution (on Luke Rowe's bike) was a million times better. I got a real shot of adrenaline when Scott Law made his break, watching him accelerate away from the perspective of Luke's handlebars...
