I ride a 13 inch frame ridgeback...did not cost £600, nor did it have to be imported...there are bikes put there that will fit you...good luck getting yours back. I dont suppose insurance will cover it....
How is this a news story?
should 'news' only be bombs or pregnant pandas?
If you use the likes of Strava make sure that the privacy zone is set. Otherwise every one can see where you keep your nice bike that just set a new KoTM.
Don't leave your bike unlocked in the garden. I'm convinced some scum are checking back gardens in the hope there's something nickable in them.... and there often is.
The bike is a Scott Contessa, I think this is the model: http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Scott-Contessa-Scale-730-Womens-Mountain-Bike-20....
Editors, if you are going to run stories about bikes being stolen, is there any chance you can contact the victim & get details of the actual bike then provide a link for readers. This would help us look out for the bike.
I'm sympathetic to this lady's cause and I hope that she gets he bike back from the idiot who stole it - But one line in this article really made me laugh:
"There is a 7ft fence and 5ft wall around my garden and I thought the bike was safe. I think someone must have known it was here because you can’t see over the wall.”
Maybe SHE can't see over the wall, but most of the rest of us can see over a 5ft wall just fine.
