Interesting comment by RedfishUK and part of me agrees with you, but to play devil's advocate here, all a scrote has to do is raise the selling price which would lead the buyer into thinking it isn't stolen and not checking and therefore making it much more worthwhile/rewarding stealing bikes in the first place.
Certainly a scumbag but wouldn't nick them if he couldn't sell them.
Those normally law abiding people should examine their conscience when they suspend their moral compass and buy that real bargain secondhand bike without asking any questions
